The June Challenge at Jaded Blossom is to make a Masculine Card.
I started with the Jaded Blossom Coffee Stain Stencil using Walnut Stain Distress Ink on Kraft cardstock. Next I stamped & detail cut two coffee cups from Jaded Blossom Gnome Brewed, coloring the cups dark teal.
Both sentiments are from Jaded Blossom Coffee Shop. I finished by stamping a few clusters of coffee beans from Jaded Blossom Gnome Brewed.
I'm always a bit sad when a month long challenge ends. May was so fun with Birgit's #ColorConspiracy2024. Creating daily clearly fills my soul, so I should challenge myself to do it anyway.
Creating with colors was certainly a challenge for me, but that's what pushes you. Here are a few more of my prints from the month.
This is a color challenge I might have chosen myself (many from the month were certainly not).
And here's what I did with it using a Stars Stencil from Little Birdie Crafts.
I also loved this color combination.
But I'm not sure the combination of the Curvy Rays Stencil from A Colorful Life Design and the String quite worked ... It sort of feels like a circus.
Since there is black in the color combination, I tried to do an image transfer.
It sort of failed, but thankfully it failed in the right spots, so it looks like Gillian Anderson's eyes are peeking through.
I think this color combination was my favorite of the month.
At first I thought this print was a fail with the white sort of sticking to the plate and not getting full rainbow coverage ... but after I sat with it a bit, I realized I loved the imperfection. I used a cheesecloth fabric to get the texture.
This color combination was pretty challenging.
This time the Curvy Rays Stencil come through (and it feels really circus-y to me).
And the one of the final days was a black, white & choose your own color challenge. Birgit mentioned the challenge of getting a good contrast print with Neon paint (because it's less opaque), so I had to give it a try. I intended to do an image transfer with the black paint, but it failed. I used the print anyway, and I love how it turned out.

I really loved every card I made with this citrus set. The light blue background really made the citrus colors pop.
So fun how mixing-up the stenciled colors changed the look of the card. Loved the fun embossing technique on the frame.
Love the limey green with the purple blooms.
I don't think you can go wrong with a citrus theme.
The newest challenge at Shopping our Stash is Mamma Mia! - Create a Mother's Day card or a card for another important woman in your life
I decided to combine the SOS challenge with the Lawn Fawnatics Bingo Challenge ... I went with a Bingo straight across the bottom.
I started with some Rainbow striped paper from Lawn Fawn Rainbow Every After Collection checking off two of the boxes. Since I didn't have any Lawn Fawn Stencils I had to get creative ... so I used the negative of one of the flowers from the Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Floral Wreath Add-on to add some stenciled flowers to the corners ... I think this qualifies as Cute too.
Lastly for the Glitter element, I die cut Lawn Fawn Giant Happy Mother's Day together with the Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Floral Wreath Add-on from glitter foam.
I finished with a bit more inking on the designer paper (best way to fix a few smudges from my tiny stencil) and some bling in the center of the blooms for a bit more Cute factor.

I'm still on the hunt for a Mother's Day card design that will let me mass produce. I thought it might be Unity Stamp Company de Fleur daisy & coordinating stencils.
Unfortunately, I struggled to figure out where to position my stamp on the paper to work well with the stencils, which is why I ended-up with a rather wonky shape for the front of my card.
I used a wide range of Taylored Expressions Inks with the five stencil layers and finished with sentiments from Unity Stamp Company Family Love and love. just love. regardless.

Before I put them away, I couldn't resist making a few more cards with the Taylored Expressions Boots & Blooms Layering Stencils using a different color palette (see yesterday's cards here). These were the Taylored Expressions inks I used.
I decided to pair the stenciled images with gelliarts prints from my stash in the same colors. I love the vibrant combination of bright pink and orange. I didn't have a Mother's Day sentiment from Taylored Expressions that worked, so I used one from Sassy Mama by CZ Design (I remedied my sentiment issue after I made these cards by picking-up Mini Strips - You're the Best from my local store Scrapmania).
For the second card, I found a piece of paper in my stash where I rolled-off paints that had both the pink & soft orange ... I really like how those iris look in yellows.
I used the same sentiment and added some yellow Pinkfresh Studio Jewel Essentials to finish the card.
I broke out the Never Before Used Boots & Blooms A2 Designer Layering Stencil from Taylored Expressions for a few cards (and I'm joining Darnell's NBUS Challenge). It's also perfect for the April Stencil Fun Challenge Spring / Flowers.
I started with the colors from the Color Throwdown Challenge with a sentiment from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips - Birthday.
For my next card, I added in some purple for the tulips (the intention was for it to be red, but since I didn't clean my stencils, the blue & red combined to make this gorgeous purple).
The layout is this week's Freshly Made Sketch with another Taylored Expressions Sentiment Strips - Birthday sentiment.
And for the final one, I made a Mother's Day card with a sentiment from Taylored Expressions Penned Pretty.

I just love the iris and tulip combination ... they both remind me of my Grandma's garden.
In the spirit of using my Never Before Used Schtuff (thanks Darnelle), I spent the afternoon playing with my new Lindy's Magicals Tea and Crumpets Shakers.
The shaker top make it much easier to play with them and stencils, which is what I did (although several got to wet, they turned into more of a solid design, which was just fine with me). The only purpose of the stencils for me was to add a little texture, not really produce a clear stenciled look. (I have repurposed the long runner rug inside my front door as my paper drying spot).
The Jaded Blossom February Challenge is to Use a Stencil, so I added the top portion of the Jaded Blossom Knit Stitch Stencil (moving it to I could cover my entire page) in purple ink on top of one of my more solid pink and purple Lindy's Magical papers. I love how the knitted stitches look like little hearts.
I used the largest Jaded Blossom Diamond Die Cut on the paper that was at the bottom of my spray box.
Next I stamped the Heart from Jaded Blossom Knit Happens in Purple ink and die cut it using the smaller Jaded Blossom Diamond Die Cut. Then I stood back and looked at my card.
My local museum - the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art - has a new art Exhibit starting in February called ROY G. BIV: A Rainbow of Art and as a companion, they are posting color challenges for artists each month. In February the challenge is:
We've just WRAPPED up 2023 and are embarking on our fourteenth (14th!) Jingle Belles season; many of us have also just WRAPPED and/or UN-WRAPPED a gift or two, so before you put away your wrapping supplies, our first Jingle Belles prompt asks that you pull out some of your favorites (or some of that paper from a present you unwrapped that was just too pretty to recycle) and make a card featuring wrapping paper or gift tags.
I remember seeing several people using some gorgeous Birch Bark wrapping paper one holiday from Pier One. I went on a hunt until I found my own roll, which I still treasure. I used a piece for the base of my first Jingle Belles card of 2024.
For the wonderful brownish grey of the bar, I chose a muted palette of teal and brown/yellow for my Pinkfresh Studio Folk Snowflake (which I die cut and colored with the coordinating stencils).
I used the teal for one of the sentiments from the same Folk Snowflake Stamp Set and finished with a few Pinkfresh Studio Champagne Glitter Dots on the snowflake.

The newest Stay Crafty With a Blog Named Hero Challenge is Shiny.
I started with the Hero Arts Sprinkled Dots Stencil with shiny silver glitter paste on navy cardstock.
Next I die cut an oval from one of my favorite shiny cardstocks - the inside of a Puffs Plus Lotion with Vicks tissue box. I stamped the tree from Hero Arts Stylized Christmas Tree and embossed it with shiny silver embossing powder on light blue cardstock, die cut it, and attached it with foam tape for dimension.
I added a tiny light purple star at the top of the tree to go with the sentiment from the same set.
Since my shiny is also sparkly, I'm also linking-up at the Time Out Challenges. The Creatalicious Challenge is Anything Goes with optional Christmas Cards that are Blue & Silver.
