I had so much fun with rainbow colors & Unicorns yesterday, I decided to make a second one (because can the world really have to much rainbows & unicorns).
For this one, I used the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge colors as my rainbow palette.
I started with the Lawn Fawn Winter Unicorn colored in three of the challenge hues using my Spectrum Noir Markers (with a sparkly silver horn) which reminded me a bit of Rainbow Brite's Horse from my sister's childhood.
I used the layout from Tuesday Morning Sketches and a sentiment from Lawn Fawn Lovable Legends. The rainbow hearts were die cut from Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card dies.
With my pattern of squares, I'm also joining the Geometric Pattern Challenge at Shopping Our Stash.
When we went out to eat brunch on Sunday, I was mesmerized by the gorgeous art printed on dictionary pages that they had adorning the bar. I've been thinking about creating with vintage dictionary pages ever since ... and when I saw the TEXT Challenge at CASology, I knew I had to pull one out.
I'm always on the lookout for vintage dictionaries at used book stores and estate sales ... especially if they're falling apart ... because then it feels appropriate to give them a second life.
I chose the page that had Cardinal because I knew I wanted to ink-up my new Framed Cardinal Stamp from STAMPlorations (because it has a texty background ... so it's a double-text-card). I colored my bird with Spectrum Noir markers ... I love how the text shows through the transparent hues.
CAS Colours & Sketches is the source of my layout ... and the sentiment is from STAMPlorations Noteworthy 2. And my new best friend my MISTI made sure I got perfect coverage when I stamped, which can be particularly tricky on vintage papers.
I'm also joining the SPRING Challenge at STAMPlorations.
The current Stampotique Challenge is to create a Black & White Only Card (I'm calling Grey a shade of black). My card features Two of the Three Dwarfy Gnomes. I attached them with foam tape to give the illusion of flying through the air.
Trampoline is an oldie from Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers and sentiment is from A Muse. Here's another version of the card adding some Color Burst & Spectrum Noir color (together with lots of bouncing sequins and a gnome doing a back-flip).
The Mix-It Up Challenge at the Ellen Hutson blog is one of my favorite challenges. I love trying to combine stamps from two different companies in unique and preferable punny ways (okay, I realize sometimes I'm probably just amusing myself). This month's company is a favorite ... My Favorite Things.
My process is to take all of my stamp sets from both companies and put them side-by-side to see what might work together. For this card I combined a sentiment from 12 Days (of Christmas) Companion Greetings (You know, 11 Pipers Piping) and the Volcano from My Favorite Things Tiki Party.
I used my Spectrum Noir Colored Pencils and Spica Glitter Pens to color my Volcano that as stamped on kraft cardstock. I added some spewing lava & finished with a few sequins for some splashes of lava outside of the circle.
The layout is a sketch from Pals Paper Arts.
I think it will make a fun valentine.
The theme at the Impression Obsession Challenge is Snowy Wishes, which was perfect for pulling out my new Chin Up Snowman and add a little color with Spectrum Noir markers to coordinate with the Cold Snap papers.
I added the Merry On Sentiment using the sketch from As You See It.
I finished with a few snowflake sequins falling from the sky.
I wanted to make a card for the N is for Naughty Christmas challenge at The Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers.
Essentials by Ellen's 'Tis the Season had the perfect stamps.
I colored the hats with Spectrum Noir Dark Red (DR6) and added enamel dots for the hat pom poms using this week's CAS(e) this Sketch.

Tonight I was looking through my collection of Lawn Fawn stamps to try to come-up with an idea for their current Lawnscaping Challenge to create a One Layer Card.
As I looked through the stamp sets, three of my most loved stamps stuck out (from Winter Owl, Gnome Sweet Gnome & Yeti Set Go), so I decided they would make a great trio ... you know, an Owl, a Gnome and a Yeti walk into a bar ...
Since my sister & I share a love of Owls, Gnomes and Yetis, I decided to add a sentiment for her from Chit Chat. My eyes were too tired tonight to attempt serious coloring, so instead I used my Spectrum Noir Markers for some spotlight coloring featuring the hues from this week's colourQ Challenge.
My creatures are also joining the Forest Friends Fun at The Card Concept.
Simon Says Stamp is celebrating Food & Drink (I also love to celebrate food & drink).
I pulled out my Wine Glasses from Unity Stamps Wine & Friends together with a sentiment from Kellie Stamps.
I used my Spectrum Noir Marker to add a little red wine to the glass and floating hearts. I'm also joining the *Bottoms Up* Challenge at Sweet Stampin' Challenge.

I have really been loving that donuts have been a new theme showing-up in papercrafting ... because seriously, I love donuts.
I have such fond memories of Dad taking my brother and me to the Daylight Donut Shop for breakfast ... and the agonizing decision between a bear claw, cinnamon swirl, or the delicious cherry, orange or blueberry cake donuts. My brother usually chose the maple long john (no maple for me) or a twist ... always with a tiny carton of ice cold milk.
I looked at several Donut Stamp Sets (Lil' Inker Eat More Donuts, Reverse Confetti Donut You Know), but ultimately the sentiments won me over in Simon Says Stamp I Love Donuts ... especially the one on my card (although I wish it included a jelly donut shape ... may have to try to make my own).
I stamped my donuts in Dark Brown ink on Kraft Cardstock and clear embossed. I used Spectrum Noir Blendable Colored Pencils to create my cherry frosting (36, 37 & 42). After coloring, I stamped the sprinkles and added Spica Glitter Pen for a bit of sparkle.
My design was inspired by the colors and shapes in this week's Just Us Girls Challenge using swirly cardstock from Studio Calico and the back of a Piece of Core'dinations Pink Whitewash Cardstock.
