First, a huge Thank You to Right at Home Stamps for providing these fun stamps for the My Sweet Petunia MISTI blog hop.
I started with the wonderful 6" Gingham Background stamp. I decided to break-out my 12" MISTI for the first time for this project ... and I'm in love. I have always preferred working with bigger spaces and bigger paper and trimming down after I stamp, and this worked perfectly.
I started by stamping the Gingham Background Stamp in traditional Christmas red on White Cardstock.
Next I wiped the stamp and tried again in two shades of teal with a gorgeous ombre effect. I will confess, I don't often clean my stamps perfectly because I love the happy accidents that sometimes occur with the leftover ink ... you can see the hints of leftover red in my design, and I love it.
Next I inked up the gorgeous Christmas Foliage Set with the coordinating Die Cuts. I love white poinsettias, so for the teal card I stamped them on white using the darker teal ink.
The gorgeous pine boughs were stamped in teal on lighter teal cardstock. I used NUVO Glitter Dots in Aquatic Mist for the Center of my blooms.
For the red gingham, I went with a more rustic look using the pine cone stamp with more of the beautiful pine boughs.
With my MISTI, I'm able to stamp the sentiment nice and dark so it is clearly readable stamped on the Gingham background.
And with cards that cute, you've got to have cute envelops. I fell in love with the Right at Home Stamps Happy Mail Year 2 stamp set.
I love using 5" x 7" envelopes for mailing ... I found these fun colored ones by Paper Studio with my 50% off coupon.
So now comes the fun stuff ... Leave a Comment on all of the blogs in the Hop to be eligible to win one of two prizes - Winner's choice of an original or mini MISTI, and a prize package from Right at Home, which includes Sunflower stamp set, Harvest Blessings stamp set (new release) and two Distress Oxide Inks - in Cracked Pistachio and Peeled Paint (yummy colors).
