Heartfelt Galentine's Day

I was thrilled to win the new Heartfelt Love Stamp Set from Newton's Nook in their recent blog hop, so I wanted to ink it up for a Galentine's Day Card to get in the mail.

I stamped the image and sentiment in Black StazOn ink on one of my paper bag salted background papers from my Wanderlust class a few weeks ago, and then clear embossed to set the ink.

 

I tried my new ohto Fude Ball Pens to see if they would color on the watercolor painted surface ... and YAY they did ... so I added some brighter pink highlights to some of the hearts (love these pens).

I finished with a sentiment from the set stamped on the same painted paper.  I resisted the urge to add gems, since I want to keep these cards mailable for standard postage.

You Are a Classic

I picked-up the Fancy Pants Swagger Collection because I knew it would be fun to make some guy cards ... I especially loved the vintage clothing illustrations.

I combined the papers, stickers & accents with a sentiment stamp from Neat & Tangled For the Record and a vintage Happy Father's Day stamp from my collection.

Just In Queso ...

I come from a *punny* family who loves cheese, so when I saw these adorable *Just Say Cheese* stamps from new company Newton's Nook, I knew they needed to come live with me.

They arrived in the mail today (quick shipping), so I decided to join in their first Inky Paws Challenge, which was a sketch.

I used colors from the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge, since they sort of reminded me of a fiesta.  The Apricot paper was some I made in my Paste Paper Class ... love how the thick watercolor paper embossed.

I used colored pencils to quickly color the image and die cut it with labels die cut ... love that punny sentiment ... and who doesn't love a good queso.  There's a freebie image to join the fun if you don't own their stamps yet.
