I love the colors in the Butterfly Reflections Ink December Mood Board.
The My Mind's Eye Holly Jolly Collection has three of the colors ... so all I had to do was add in some Aquamarine.
The Penguin Cutie is from American Crafts ... I framed him in Aquamarine and then added coordinating enamel dots to decorate his scarf. This card just makes me happy.

I am always on the lookout for Pink Holiday paper, and on my travels last week, I picked up the fun Holly Jolly Collection from My Mind's Eye. I wanted to pair it with a Santa, so I used the one from The Ink Road Stamps Happy Holla Days.
I paired him with a sentiment from My Favorite Things Sassy Pants Holiday and this week's Sketch Saturday.

This card is to tease someone whose birthday always gets mashed-up with Christmas.
I started with the My Favorite Things Ho Ho Ho Die cut from Maroon & Black Cardstock. Then I built the card around this week's Freshly Made Sketch.
I finished with a penguin (with Christmas song lyrics on his belly) and a few sticker sentiments with a tiny "and" stamp from Inky Antics So Much to Say #1. Paper are My Mind's Eye Winterberry.
This week at Jingle Belles it's all about the TEXT - it might mean using letter stickers, book pages, dictionary pages, phone book pages, texty patterned paper or just creating a card where the sentiment is the star of the show … make sure you get TEXTY.
As often happens in my studio, I go in search of one thing and get distracted by another ... in this case the distraction was a piece of Texty paper from My Mind's Eye the Merry Days of Christmas ... I love the randomness of the sizes and colors of text ... and I ended-up covering my favorite phrase (cookie taster) with part of my tag.
I used another corresponding pieces of paper from the same collection along the bottom and then added a Journaling Notecard from Prima's Sweet Peppermint collection on a kraft tag. It continue with the text there are two more sentiments in the design.

I decided to go with a Fusion Design featuring lots of fun Halloween stickers in my stash.
I love the little mummy trying to sneak into the shot. The sentiment is an oldie from the Michael's $1 bin. The pumpkins never stamp that well, but I can't resist the sentiment.

Today's Splitcoast Stampers Inspiration Challenge comes from Miracle Suit. I chose this Pick A Posey Side Tie Sarong to inspire my design.
I love the floral patterns of My Mind's Eye Just Sayin' collection, but for some reason I find them rather challenging to actually create with.
I tried stamping a sentiment, but it just got lost in all of the patterns, so I ended-up using one of the paper elements that came with the collection.
This was me trying to find the right shade of green for that tiny vertical piece from this week's Cardabilities Sketch.
I just discovered a new challenge blog called the TGIF Challenge ... and this week's challenge is to combine 2 of the last four challenges (hence the remix) to create a card.
I did a fair amount of crafty shopping online over Memorial Day which was delivered this week, including a gorgeous My Mind's Eye Just Sayin' Collection ... which is perfect for the color challenge.
I love ordering from Crafty Steals because it's fun to get the entire collection (chipboard, stickers, brads, etc.), which I would seldom purchase otherwise.
Using the sketch I combined two papers and one of the chipboard pieces. I finished with an SRM Sentiment.
I just got some new Paper Smooches goodies in the studio, so it was the perfect time to create with the new Designer Drafts Sketch.
I started with a vintage piece of 12" scrapbook paper from My Mind's Eye by Jen Allyson called The Sweetest Thing.
I stamped *friend* from Bold Buzzworks in Black Ink and clear embossed for a bit more pop ... one of the great thing about bold words is that you can use them with designer papers.
The Happy Birthday Banner from Blissful Banners was stamped on white cardstock, clear embossed, detail cut and attached with foam tape for dimension.
I turned my *Poinsettia* die cut into a birthday bloom by layering 2 of the middle sized bloom with one small bloom & a black pearl.
I finished with a few white SRM Sticker Stitches.

The current Cardabilities sketch is perfect for an elegant valentine.
I love the layered hearts ... I started with the intention of using three die cut hearts, but as I played around with the positioning, I decided I liked the negative of the bigger heart better (more contrast for the smaller heart).
Instead of a third heart, I used a paper flower. I finished with two die cut Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourishes, sequins, and a printed custom sentiment. Papers are from My Mind's Eye Love Me Collection.
