Dashing Through the Snow

The December Memory Box Challenge is to use Patterned Paper. 

When I was looking through my product collection, I thought this adorable Memory Box Wonderland Snowman cut from white felt with a touch of glitter would look fabulous dressed in some Memory Box Patterned Paper from the Memory Box Garland paper collection.  I added a green Love from Lizi Peel Off for definition of the hat brim.

 

 

I positioned him on some snowy pattern paper from Memory Box Dashing Holiday collection.  The sentiment is from Memory Box Dashing with Reindeer ... because this cutie is ready for a snow ball fight and a cup of coffee (with an Eyelet Outlet Holiday Coffee Brad) for the Caffeinated Christmas Snowman & Coffee Challenge.  

I used a circle punch to make his mouth & two different sized googly eyes for a bit of a wonky look.

 

 

I'm also linking-up my cute little snowman wearing a hat & scarf at the Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge, and I'm joining the We Love Stamping Winter Flowers or Foliage Challenge since my snowman is decked out in pretty holiday blooms.

 

 

Let There Be Lights

A friend asked if I could recreate my pink Jingle Belles banner inspired holiday card with a masculine twist.

I started with a slightly smaller Tall Pine Memory Box Tree cut twice from watercolor paper and once from glitter cardstock.  I sprayed the watercolor paper trees with Wicked Elixir Mica Distress Stain.  Since the trees were smaller, I was able to add a snowy landscape.  

 

 

I used blue for the snowy sky and repeatedly stamped a different Tim Holtz sentiment from the same set.  Since the current Memory Box Challenge is Let there Be Light(s), I decorated each of the trees with bling to represent holiday lights in the branches.

 

I finished with a snowy wooden embellishment and puffy sticker sentiment.

Pink Tree Christmas

At Jingle Belles, we're still making holiday cards inspired by our 2023 Blog Banner.

 

 

I decided to start by spraying watercolor paper with Dylusions Bubblegum Pink Shimmer Spray.  Next I die cut three Memory Box Marvelous Pines, which I then splattered with White Dina Wakely Media Gloss Spray.

 

 

I stamped the tan card base with the We Wish You a Merry Christmas stamp from Tim Holtz Tiny Text Christmas Sentiments multiple times in light grey ink.  I attached the three sprayed trees using foam tape on the center one for dimension.

I added a few Pinkfresh Studio sentiment stickers and spelled Peace with Pinkfresh Studio silver Spring Vibes Puffy alphabet stickers.

I finished with a white pearl flourish like the banner.

Autumn Leaves

The current Memory Box Challenge is Crazy for Orange.

 

 

I knew I wanted to die cut some scribble leaves from Orange Gelliprints, so when I didn't find any in my stash, I pulled out the paints and made some.  I discovered I could use Therm-o-Web Gold Foil to add a bit of gold to the still wet bits of paint.  I noticed a few wet bits before I put the gelliprint through the die cut machine ... there was a piece of foil on the studio table, and I had a Lauren moment and thought ... why not ... and it worked beautifully.

I die cut the Memory Box Scribble Leaf Bundle Background from the Orange Gelliprints and cut the Memory Box Scribble Leaf Bundle Outline from matte gold cardstock.

 

 

I arranged the falling leaves on a 2" strip of slightly darker orange gelliprint and finished with a sentiment from Memory Box Best Life Typewriter Sentiments and finished with gold & orange fairy jewels.

 

 

I'm also joining the AllSorts Challenge to use die cuts.

Fall Magnolias

The August Memory Box Challenge is It's Fall Y'All.

 

 

I wanted to use my new Memory Box 3D Embossing Folder Magnolia Blooms, but wasn't sure about Magnolias and Autumn.  When I googled, I saw all sorts of Autumn Wreaths made with Magnolias, so I took my inspiration from those for my design.

I embossed a rusty gel press print and then rubbed on chocolate ink several times to bring out the texture.  I embossed a second time on ivory cardstock and then used the coordinating dies to cut out the blooms.  I went over those lightly with more chocolate ink to tone them down a bit to work with the grungy background and then attached them to the panel with foam tape.

 

 

When I looked through my Memory Box sentiment choices, I settled on Sympathy from Memory Box Big and Little Words.

Take it Easy Peasy

The July Memory Box Challenge is It's Not Easy Being Green - to create a card featuring the color Green.

I found this Memory Box Easy Peasy Stamp Set in my stash that had never been inked, so now seemed like the perfect opportunity.  I smooshed Mowed Lawn and a bit of Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink onto white cardstock before stamping my Pea Pods.  I painted a bit more Mowed Lawn ink onto the peas for contrast.

 

 

I die cut the Memory Box Knotted Circle Wreath from white cardstock and inked it with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink.

I finished with one of the sentiments from the Easy Peasy Stamp Set in black ink.

With my circle wreath and round little peas, I'm also joining the Simon Says We're Going Around in Circles Challenge.

"Die"namic Hello

The June Challenge at Memory Box is to make a card where their awesome die cuts are front and center.

 

 

I chose one of my favorite dies the Memory Box Butterfly Swell and die cut it from one of my Gelli Prints.

 

 

I used another Gelli Print to back the butterflies and a paint roll-off scrap to die cut the Memory Box Hello Streamlined Script.

I'm also joining the Anything Goes Challenge at Use Your Stuff.

Cardstock Christmas

This week at Jingle Belles it's a Cardstock Christmas where we're asking you to create your holiday card using nothing but cardstock (step away from the designer papers).  You can spray it, die cut it, emboss it, color it ... but just make sure it's all cardstock.

I intended to join the PoppyStamps Die Cut Challenge, but realized too late I added as stamped sentiment to my card, so I'll try again later in the month.  I do, however, love these PoppyStamps Die Cuts.

I die cut the PoppyStamps Whittle Friendly Snowman from White textured cardstock using a piece of white cardstock colored with watercolor markers for the scarf & black cardstock hat band.

 

 

I used a layout from the BYSH (Build Your Stash Holiday) Cardmakers and instead of a cardstock strip, I used the PoppyStamps Frozen Flakes Die Cut down the left side.  

 

I finished with a sentiment from Memory Box Dashing with Reindeer and some pink bling in the snowflake centers.

 

 

I'm also joining the Christmas Kickstart Challenge, which is to feature a scarf on your card (get it ... wrapped up for Christmas).

All My Love

The February Poppystamps Challenge is Me & You ... the perfect opportunity  to create another valentine.

 

 

I started by die cutting the Poppystamps Heart Confetti Collage from some lovely salmony pink glitter paper.  I backed it with a soft pink marker colored paper.

 

 

Next I used the Sketch from Try Stampin' (or Not) on Tuesday and used some handmade chalk paper for the background (you can see how I made it here).

 

 

I die cut the hearts collage a second time and added hearts inside the hearts finishing with a Doodlebug Sprinkle Heart.  I replaced the heart in the sketch with a sentiment from Memory Box Big and Little Valentines stamped on the other scrap of the marker colored paper.  

I'm also joining the Somebody to Love Challenge at little red wagon.

Woodblock Cool Yule

It's Woodblock Wednesday (woohoo).

 

 

I combined three different Woodblock Stamps for today's card - Kelly's Coffee & Donuts from Hero Arts, Memory Box Have a Cool Yule and JudiKins Retro Snowmen.

 

 

I went clean & simple with a pop of glitter using this week's Freshly Made Sketch.  I added a Doodlebug Shape Sprinkles Mini Heart for the Caffeinated Christmas Challenge Coffee & Hearts.

 

 

 

Love this cool little dude.
