Oh. Em. Gee.

My card started with inspiration from this week's Runway Inspired Challenge by Jeremy Scott.

I loved the pattern together with the bright colors ... I thought this Hexagon paper from Lawn Fawn's Dewey Decmal Collection was similar to the dress pattern.  I used Retro Sketches as my layout.

As I looked for a sentiment, I decided to combine some Mama Elephant Sentiments, which were perfect for their Make Me Laugh Challenge for April.

I combined a sentiment from Mama Elephant Good Times with one from Hustle.  I added a 3-D Monster Sticker from Me & My Big Ideas to finish the design.

I don't know about you ... but it makes me laugh (then again, I'm easily amused).

Go On With Your Bad Self

I combined stamps from My Favorite Things Lana Lamb Designs At the Office, Technique Tuesday Big Thanks, and Mama Elephant Hustle for this fun congratuations card.

I stamped them all on a journaling card from Amy Tangerine's Plus One Collection.  The finishing touch were some metal stars from Basic Grey.

Go On With Your BAD SELF

I'm having a little fun tonight with the Runway Challenge / CAS(E) this Sketch combo challenge.

For some reason, this stamp from Mama Elephant's Hustle was calling my name.  I combined it with glitterg paper from DCWV and a texty Studio Calico design.

And a sock monkey with big red lips and a crown seemed like the perfect finishing touch ... yep, it's been one of those weeks.

Life is Like a Camera

I wanted to create a card for this gorgeous inspiration photo at Mama Elephant's Photo Inspiration Challenge.

 

I only have a couple of Mama Elephant stamp sets (must remedy that), so since this is a *photo* challenge, I decided to use We Click.

I paper pieced my camera (FYI - if you heat emboss Glitter Paper it melts too, although in this case it looks kind of cool) and added a bit of metallic marker and a few pink gems.  The layout is from Seize the Sketch.

Happiness Lives Here

I've been cleaning my studio today ... after a few weeks of creative chaos, it had gotten completely out of control.  It feels much better now that I can see the top of my work table ... so I decided to make it a bit messy again with this week's CASE Study Challenge.  I love map-themed designs ... and Amber's card is amazing.

I loved the pop of the heart and the United States outline, so that's what I decided to design around.

I broke out my trusty vintage Atlas and tore out a map page for the background.  Next I added stamps from Mama Elephant's Geotagged & We Click.  The layout is from this week's CAS - Colors & Sketches.

I'm also joining Code Word: Heart at the Addicted to CAS blog.

Hello There

Tonight I wanted to join the first color challenge at Mama Elephant Stamps (there's a free digi image if you don't own any of their stamps & want to join the fun)... red, aqua, white & glitter (because as they say, glitter is just awesome).

I decided to use the Sketch from Basic Grey and papers from the Sweet Threads Collection for my layout together with squares of glitter paper.

I love how each Mama Elephant Stamp set has tiny little stamps, so I used most of the tiny stamps from the three sets I own (Geotagged, Good Times, and We Click) and the sentiment.  I added a tiny bit of red glitter pen to the heart in the middle of the sentiment.

I'm also joining the Anything Goes Challenge at DYSU.

Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Negative

At the Catered Crop Recipe Swap they are Accentuating the Negative this week ... creating cards featuring negative space.  When I saw this week's CAS(E) This Sketch, I knew I had the perfect combination.

Yesterday while I was out running errands, I stumbled upon an Estate Sale.  Estate Sales were new to me when I moved to Iowa ... they literally put a price tag on everything in a person's house from boxes of silverware to bottles of shampoo to closets filled with clothes ... and you walk through the house getting a glimpse into their past life.  Some of my favorite finds are scrapbooks, boxes of cards ... and of course, books and vintage papers.  

Yesterday I found a small atlas filled with colorful maps ... I used a page of the Iowa map for my card design.  I attached it to cardstock for some thickness, and then attached both layers to the card front with foam tape for dimension.

The stamps are the Geotagged Set from Mama Elephant.  I added a few punched hearts to finish the design.

Really Small Gang

I picked-up some fun stamps this week from a new stamp company ... Mama Elephant.  My card for this week's CAS{E} this Sketch features stamps from a fun set called Good Times.

I used warm violat ink &  punched a few purple glitter hearts for accent.
