Witch, Please

Yesterday I was hunting for a specific sentiment, and in the process discovered a number of Halloween Stamp sets (many of which are embarrassingly unused).  So I pulled them out, and made a vow to get them inked-up and get some Halloween cards in the mail.

I started with Simon Says Stamp Witch, Please and combined it with the colors from the Color Hues Challenge of Tangerine & Violet.

 

 

I inked-up the stamps using Catherine Pooler Flirty Fuchsia Ink (I tried more true purples, but they always seem to end-up looking black after multiple stampings needed for this large coverage stamps).

I embossed my Tangerine Cardstock with the Lil' Inker Stitched Cloud Plate and then cut it out using Pink & Main Stitched Rectangle.

 

 

I used foam tape to attach the die cuts and tiny sentiment and finished with some enamel dots.

12 Tags of Christmas - Glitter

I loved the inspiration project for the 3rd Tag of Christmas with a Feminine Twist featuring ... SPARKLE (which includes my nemesis Glitter).

 

Did you know you could INK GLITTER PAPER (yes ... I am yelling that because it is so amazing ... no more looking for just the right color ... just buy white glitter paper and make it whatever  color you want ... as in my case, gorgeous Grass Green Ombre) ... I used my favorite Make-Up Brush.

 

Seriously ... how fun is that??? I love those foam Elf Boots Stickers paired with a super-fun sentiment from Lil' Inker's Moody Santa Stamps.  I even used Red Glitter Ribbon for a bit more sparkle.

 

I turn most of my tags into holiday cards (because believe it or not, I still need at least 15 more) ... I embossed a red cardstock background with Taylored Expressions Nordic Holiday.

12 Tags of Christmas - Inspiration

Tonight I tackled Day 2 of the 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist at Ellen Hutson.

The Challenge is to be inspired by this Photograph.

 

The cool thing was that if you clicked through to the actual post, they have free downloads of all of the wrapping paper and tags in the picture.  So I downloaded the chalkboard snowflake paper and used it to die cut my tag with a Lil' Inker Anytime Tags Die.

 

Then I stamped Lil' Inker's Oh Deer Christmas Stamps on kraft cardstock, colored the leaves to bring in more the greenery from the photo, and die cut with a circle.  I didn't have any black & white striped or gingham ribbon, so I went with red gingham instead and stapled it to my card.

Big Cups

I was sad to see that #50 will be the final challenge at the Naughty or Nice Challenge ... it's an Anything Goes Challenge to go back and re-visit a prior challenge.

I decided to break-out another one of my never-used drink sets and take my inspiration from Challenge #49 - Drink Up!

The stamps & dies are from Lil' Inker Designs (that I believe I won in one of the Coffee Loving Cardmakers' Hops) ... Coffee Cozy Dies & Coffee Cozy Stamps .  I took my inspiration from A Cup of Caffeinated Inspiration Challenge photo.

 

I used the purples and greens for my color palette and incorporated wood grain and even a little red heart Eyelet Outlet gem for the cookie.  I used to have lots of pretty hyacinths in my garden ... and you know there is tea in my BIG CUP.

I used this week's CAS Colours & Sketches Layout.

Happy Birthday

I recently placed for my first order with Lil Inker Designs.  I wandered over to buy the Anytime Tags due to the enabling of someone (can't remember who ... I'm an impulse shopper in case you hadn't figured that out), but also couldn't resist the Stitched Clouds & this oh-so-useful Boxed Up Birthday Die (love the stitched edge) that I used on tonight's card.

I wanted a masculine color palette, so I started with olive green using this week's Freshly Made Sketch.

The Box by itself seemed a bit plain, so I die cut several circle swirls from Tim Holtz Scribbles & Splat & finished with a few sequins.
