I'm thrilled to be Guest Designing with the Design Team from My Sweet Petunia for a Blog Hop & Giveaway with Joy Clair Stamps. This was a new-to-me stamp company, so I was thrilled to get to try three new stamp sets for my designs.
I started with the brand new Hello Sentiments Stamp Set ... I knew the big bold sentiments would be fun for shadow stamping.
I used the happy spring colors of orange & golden yellow for my design ... and then found some coordinating flowers in my stash to accent my text.
I love that I get things right on the first try with my MISTI instead of stamping several different pieces until I finally obtain full coverage.
The next set from Joy Clair is called Dad's Day. I always love having more masculine stamps in my stash. I couldn't wait to create the perfect father's day card for one of the men in my family.
The stamp sets included coordinating cut files, but since I didn't have a cutting machine, I had a friend cut them for me. I was able to use temporary adhesive to adhere my die cut to a piece of scrap cardstock and then perfectly stamp my ribbon in Bronze Metallic ink ... love that.
And yes, that is denim material on my card. I used fabric stiffener and then was able to cut and adhere it to my card front with strong double-sided tape. I used a bronze metallic sharpie to color my ribbon and added a bit of grey Spectrum Noir to the fart cloud.
For my final card, I did fun single-layer-all-over-stamping design using Joy Clair Snow Fall (isn't that a magnificent collection of snowflakes) ... it's so fun to create my own designer paper. I started with a piece of DCWV ombre paper and then used lots of purple inks from my collection to create my snowy storm.
I accented the flake centers with three shades of purple glitter epoxy dots.
There are prizes with this hop ... for a chance to win, you must leave a comment on every blog post to win the Joy Clair or MISTI giveaways. MISTI Winners will be announced on this page of the My Sweet Petunia blog on April 14th.
