I can't stop playing with these fun Pink Paislee Post Cards. This one uses Kazan's Sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You. I added the fun Love Potion from Krafting Kimmie. The hearts were colored with red sharpie and shine was added with clear Glaze pen.
The weatherman says lots of snow is coming our way. In Iowa, you never know how many inches will greet us in the morning.

I fell in love with this sketch. It worked so perfectly for the Pink Paislee Cupid post cards (you get 12 with one sheet of paper). Once I got started, I just couldn't stop with one.
The first card starts with the sketch flipped on its side & Pink Paislee Pleasant paper stamped with Hero Arts Postage Background. The left side of the Post Card was stamped with Hero Arts Take Time Collage and then painted with Bubble Gum Shimmerz paint. Those cool heart accents from Kraftin' Kimmie were stamped on DP, embossed, cut out, and embellished with bling. The finishing touch is Zva Creative Flourishes.
The next card uses more Pink Paislee papers, another Post Card, those cool hearts, and a Stampabilities sentiment.
Love this fun Post Card with this Michael's $1 stamp, more Pink Paislee, and some frayed red twine.

Ashley has another great color challenge at the Embellish Magazine blog. It was just the nudge I needed to get started on some valentines.
I started by stamping the heart from the Basic Grey Love Stamps from Jacksonbelle Embellishments in black with clear embossing. I colored the heart with a red Sharpie and then used a Glaze pen to add all-over shine.
I loved Tobi's ruffled ribbon, so I had to give it a try. I used extra-strong tape and just overlapped the ribbon as I moved across the card. I used some small blue dots to position the loops where I wanted them.
The sentiment flag was attached with a glue dot at the end for dimension.
I finished with a dark red antique glass button for a little glamor. This card also works for Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge to use something new (my new Basic Grey stamps). The ladies at Stamp Something are also challenging us to use something new for the new year.

I had seen wreaths made with fabric scraps and wondered if I could do the same with ribbon. I started with a 1.5" loose leaf binder ring and started double-knotting on pieces of May Arts 3/8" Moss grosgrain ribbon until the entire ring was completely filled. Then I went back and trimmed the ribbon pieces to similar sizes.
I think this would make a really fun ornament. I added a Martha Stewart Punched Cardinal for an accent, a brad at the top to hang the wreath, and a Thank You from A Muse.

I am thrilled to announce that I have been chosen as one of the newest members of the Jacksonbelle Embellishments design team. I'm so excited to have the opportunity to create with this talented group of ladies.
I am slowly recovering from my tonsillectomy, and hope I turn the corner soon. I created this card using a fun set of Basic Grey stamps called Critters & Treats together with Nutmeg papers from Cosmo Cricket. I love how the colors of the cloud paper remind me of the gorgeous sunsets we saw while visiting my Gran in Arizona.
The caterpillar & lollypop tree were stamped on DP in Dark Brown and clear embossed. I also trimmed a few leaves from the landscape paper, so they could be falling to the ground (so easy to attach with mini glue dots, a must-have in my creative process). I finished with a few adhesive pearls from my stash to add some color to my tree. Use JBE085 as your gallery keyword if you decide to join in the creative fun.
I thought this Hero Arts sentiment was perfect for my design ... the scene reminded me of how sometimes we're so busy waiting for things to happen (i.e. for the caterpillar to turn into a butterfly) that we forget to appreciate the joy and wonder that is right now ... cherish every single moment.
