PaperTrey Ink is celebrating their 10th Anniversary ... today's post features four stamp sets that were released 10 years ago. While I don't own any of those stamps, I used option two, which was to make a card inspired by the designs shared today.
I chose these lovely cards from Heather Nichols to inspire my design.
I love the boxed shape of the stamp from the Text Boxed stamps, so I used a stamp from Sentiment Signs (which was designed by Heather) and has a similar feel.
Rather than stamp on the bottom panel, I embossed using the PaperTrey Ink Sunshine Impression Plate.
I thought it would be fun to combine this week's Just Us Girls Challenge (All Over Stamping) with The Paper Players Challenge (Black + White + Any One Color). I chose Lawn Fawn's Lobster Red as my color.
Stamp's are Lawn Fawn's Get Well Soon (such a great little set). I just stamped randomly on a larger piece and then cut it down for my single layer card. I used the tiny heart stamp to fill in some of the blanker spaces.
Sometimes things happen in life where there just don't seem to be the right words ... but you still want to show support and say something.
Tonight is one of those nights. Sentiment is from My Favorite Things Vertical Greetings ... Layout is my version of this week's MFT Sketch Challenge.
Our Eyelet Outlet Design Team had the privilege of creating designs using awesome Rubbernecker Stamps. There were so many choices, I had a hard time narrowing down my stamps ... and the ones I picked are fantastic.
My first card features 7 images from the Rubbernecker Diva Inchies stamped in black. I am a huge inchie fan and this set is filled with awesome girlie images.
Having all of these great Color Burst Water Colored papers from art camp at Lauren's makes it so easy to create. I stamped this inky background with my new MFT Writing Tablet Background on top of one of the water colored piece and die cut with Spellbinders Labels 1 to make this frame.
Sentiments are from MFT Get Well Wishes. I attached my frame with foam tape for dimension and finished with some sequins using the current MFT Sketch Challenge.

The ladies at Shopping Our Stash are having a little Splish Splash Fun this week. I decided to pull out my watercolors and paint on some designer paper.
I painted onto some marbled paper from Dear Lizzy Serendipity collection covering-up the white with a coordinating paint hue. I used my heat gun to help expedite the drying.
I added a cork flower sticker and a Tim Holtz word sticker to finish the design using this week's CAS(E) this sketch!. Nothing quite like a little quick, easy, artsy fun.
I just discovered a new challenge blog called the TGIF Challenge ... and this week's challenge is to combine 2 of the last four challenges (hence the remix) to create a card.
I did a fair amount of crafty shopping online over Memorial Day which was delivered this week, including a gorgeous My Mind's Eye Just Sayin' Collection ... which is perfect for the color challenge.
I love ordering from Crafty Steals because it's fun to get the entire collection (chipboard, stickers, brads, etc.), which I would seldom purchase otherwise.
Using the sketch I combined two papers and one of the chipboard pieces. I finished with an SRM Sentiment.
I needed a masculine get well card tonight, so I thought the abstract patterns in this Nonoo Dress at the Runway Inspired Challenge were the perfect inspiration.
I pulled together cardstock in the three colors and assembled my design using this week's Freshly Made Sketch.
It's Anything Goes Week at Paper Smooches ... my card features the typewriter & paper from Just a Note and a Sentiment from Salutations (and yes, I did cut apart the sentiment so it would fit on my typewriter paper).
I embossed the background and distressed it with charcoal ink to try to emulate the feel of the designer dress.

For some reason, this one was more challenging to me than usual. I purged a lot of my flower collection when we moved, so was struggling to figure out a floral design. As I was rummaging through my supplies, I realized my Martha Stewart Layering Daisy Punch would create the perfect bloom, so that was my starting point.
I tried several colors for the circle background and settled on green to bring in the contrast of the leaves. I searched for a wood grain paper that would work, but none had the grayish tone I was goin for, so I ended-up using a gridded designer paper instead.
I pulled in the purple and grey from the inspiration photo, and finished with a MFT Get Well Wishes Sentiment ... hoping this daisy bouquet would cheer someone's spirit.
