I scanned a piece of vintage sheet music and shrunk it down to use as the focal image on my card.
I combined it with some velvet ribbon, Eyelet Outlet Champagne Bling & Authentique Christmas papers using this week's Retro Sketch.

We're still celebrating the food & drink of the holidays at Jingle Belles.
I collect vintage Ideals magazines because they remind me of my Gran. She always had the edition for the current holiday on her coffee table in her formal living room, and I remember spending hours looking at the pictures and reading the poems.
For this card, I scanned a page from one of those magazines and sized it for my card.
Making and decorating Christmas cookies was always such a festive occasion ... it seems like there are certain cookies you only have this time of the year. I decorated my poem with the holly leaves and berries cut from Memory Box Cabrini Ornament together with a few punched holly leaves.

I knew what sentiment I wanted to use on the inside ... so I found a Dance Party digital image to work on the front.

The theme at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is to use your favorite technique or product. One of my favorite techniques is to create hybrid cards ... to combine digital images with rubber stamps.
I needed a B-17 Plane, but didn't have one in my stamp sets ... so I found a digital image and combined it with a stamped sentiment using this week's Freshly Made Sketch.

For my second card, I used the Jingle Bell as my focal point. I used PhotoShop to rotate the second bell.
I used the scraps I had left of the digital designer paper from my first card and another of the digital sentiments and a wrap of twine to finish the card.

I used the colored image, coordinating sentiment and plaid designer paper to create my design with this week's Retro Sketch.
I needed a sweet little birhtday card for a girl turning three, so I thought this princess from the Angelica & Friends Collection CD-ROM from Crafter's Companion would be perfect.
As she's sitting among the grass and flowers, it's also perfect for the Nature Challenge at One Stitch at a Time.
I used three cardstock scraps to bring out the colors in the image using this week's Paper Pals Arts Sketch.
I finished with an SRM Birthday Sticker Sentiment and a few Epoxy Dots (I skipped the sequins since I was worried about a 3 year old pulling them off).
I'm still having fun embossing with my plastic stencils (love when I find a new way to use my existing supplies) ... remember the a2z scrapbooking challenge for February is Embossing ... it's a chance to win $25 to spend on Hero Arts products in the a2z scrapbooking store ... like this Be Happy set you can pick-up for only $4.00 (there's just one left so hurry).
This time I embossed the Hero Arts BasicGrey Two Way Arrows stencil again, but this time on Kraft Cardstock. I used StazOn Spiced Chai Ink direct to paper over the textured embossing (which seemed perfect, since Spiced Chai is my go-to choice of hot drink).

I combined the coffee cup (or tea cup in my case) with the steam and the sentiment using my word processing software, which allows me to re-size, flip (I wanted my mug handle on the right) and position the images, so they are perfect for my card design, and then printed it on Natural White Cardstock.

I had fun creating these cards using the Hero Arts Digital Stamp Set - The Firmament.
I created my card design using two of the stamps from the set – Distressed Stars & Scattered Stars. I re-sized, rotated, and positioned them using PhotoShop Elements, so that stars would stream across my card base.
For the first card, I printed my image on a piece of Pink Paislee Designer paper. The sentiment from the same stamp set was printed on white cardstock.
I added gold sequins over all of the *circles* in the digital elements for a bit of shimmery sparkle.
For my second card, I printed the same digital image on a piece of Heidi Swapp Designer Paper. After printer, I rotated the image vertically for a different look with the same digital stamps.
This time I used silver sequins for a bit more contrast and another sentiment from the same set. I finished with a silver glitter star.
I love that I can print these stamps out over-and-over and change-up the look each time.

When I saw this awesome Kitty Trio Image at The Graphics Fairy, I knew it had to be a Christmas card ... which was perfect for our Bring in the New Prompt at Jingle Belles.
First order of business was to find a Santa Hat for one of the kitties ... this hat is from Paper Smooches Hats Die Cuts. I die cut it from my new Red Velvet Cardstock from Gina K. Designs (such a great red).
The sentiment from 'Tis the Season by Julie Ebersole fit perfectly into the little sign. The finishing touch was to use my Spectrum Noir markers to add a colorful glint to their eyes.
