This week's Fusion Card Challenge is a peaceful beach house with a very versatile sketch.
I created a clean & simple birthday card design using the colors and flowers from the photo.
I used a floral striped Embossalicious embossing folder on the blue cardstock and an SRM Sticker for the sentiment.
This week we're still making cards inspired by Lauren's gorgeous blog header at Jingle Belles.
For this card I wanted to capture the beautiful white-on-kraft portion of the design, so I stamped Hero Arts Holly Flourish with Gina K's White Pigment ink on a scrap of krafty designer paper.
I tried heat setting the ink, but wasn't patient enough for it try dry, so I kept getting white ink all over my hands as I was working to assemble my design. I finally took a cloth and just rubbed across the few places of the stamped ink that were still damp, and I love the soft muted effect.
I used a layout from Wanna Sketch? and added purple cardstock banners. I used two different sentiments from Crafter's Companion Mistletoe Kisses. I finished with larger silver pearls and tiny bits of clear bling scattered across the design.

It's hard to believe that I've been designing for Crafter's Companion USA for 18 months ... and my term has come to an end. I thought it would be fun to take a walk down memory lane to re-visit some of my favorite designs.
One of my first Design Team assignments in January 2013 was to create projects for the Crafter's Companion Booth at CHA using the new new Stamp-It Australia Imagine Collection (still some of my all-time favorite images). One of my favorite designs was up-cycling a pickle jar into a lovely Memory Jar.
My next challenge was to learn how to color with Spectrum Noir Markers. Not only did I learn how to color, but I also passed the test to become an Accredited Colorist. Spectrum Noir has great teaching videos that make it so easy to learn. Palette Blending is one of my favorite techniques.
I loved being able to create this custom colored scooter (from Camden Town) for my brother. I also love all of the great Embossing Folder options as well.
I also loved the opportunity to design with the Spectrum Noir Alcohol Ink Refills, which are perfect for so many techniques. This tissue paper background project of a Christmas Card with coordinating magnets was created for Xyron using those refills (and I was thrilled when it was featured in the Xyron newsletter).
This was one of my favorite cards that I made ... orange, ink spray, feathers ... all so good.
During the last six months of my term with Crafter's Companion, I was the CD-ROM Specialist for Crafter's Companion. I loved creating tutorials, answering questions, and learning how to create using Digital images and papers.
These gorgeous shaped cards from The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady were some of my favorites (using Spectrum Noir Dyed Seam Binding)
I also loved designing with all of the fantastic Christmas images (which was perfect for Jingle Belles) One of my cards made with Stamp-It Australia Twinkle Collection is featured on the website.
Here it is full-size ... I love how the cracked-glass technique works with that image. This card was also the Faux Technique Winner at the Come & Get It Challenge.
I will finish with another favorite from the Stamp-It Australia Dreamer line ... I had so much fun playing with Fireworks Sprays.
Thanks for joining me for my fond farewell ... it has truly been a joy designing for this company, and I am so grateful for opportunity to learn and grow as a designer. I'm also looking forward to my next adventure ... whatever that may be.
One of the good things about moving your entire studio is all of the great *discoveries* you make while packing ... like *finding* these Etsy Stamps that had never seen ink.
I also *found* a box of textured cards that are perfect for pulling together a quick design. I stamped with My Favorite Things Brick Red Ink on fabulous Crafter's Companion Kraft cardstock.
One of the great things about creating with CD-ROMs is that you are able to print out an entire page of images at a time ... which means that when you finish your intended project ... you have lots of leftovers.
This card was made almost entirely of leftovers ... together with a bit of cute new designer paper from the Adam & Angelica line by Crafter's Companion (the clover colored vertical strip).
The pretty little ballerina is a Topper printed from the Angelica and Friends CD-ROM. The coordinating background paper was printed from the Angelica & Adam Twin Papercrafting CD-ROM. The *sweet* was from a sheet of tags printed from the Sweet Treats CD-ROM.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment from Sentimentals Imagine to finish the design. My card was inspired by the Colors & Design at {Cupcake Inspirations}.

The new theme at the Order of the Opus Gluei is Animals. I used one of the great Shaped Cards included on the The Country Diary of and Edwardian Lady CD-ROM.
I followed the technique I've used on other Shaped Cards by lining the inside of the card with a contrasting color. For this one, I also added a wrap of two-tone wired ribbon.
I love that the design will work for both a masculine or feminine recipient ... critical when stocking your card stash.
Today I have a card inspired by the Cure for the Monday Blues Challenge.
I loved all of the flowers on the rug ... and the pretty shades of pink in the room design ... and doesn't that happy picture just brighten your day.
My flowers are from a new CD-ROM by Crafter's Companion called Vintage Floral, and the sentiment is from one of the coordinating stamp sets called Verses.
One good thing about crafting with CD-ROMs using digital papers and images, is when you can't find much of anything in your craft space (like my current state), you can still print out gorgeous flowers and coordinating designer papers.
I detail cut a variety of the flowers and layered them together to create my beautiful bouquet. The finishing touches were a few enamal dots.

The June Challenge at Crafter's Companion is to create Tags, Bags or Boxes using at least one Crafter's Companion product.
For me it was the perfect opportunity to break out the new Sweet Treat Papercraft Collection CD-ROM and the accompanying Sweet Treat Boards for the Ultimate Tool (which can all be purchased together in a great bundle).
I decided to create the PopCorn Box with a Lid, and since the inside of the box will be visible, I printed two pieces of two sided designer paper from the CD-ROM (which gives your box a more finished look).
All you have to do is print the cupcakes on one side, and then re-insert your paper into the printer to print the yellow patterned paper on the other side. I also printed a sheet of tags from the CD-ROM to decorate my box.
The Sweet Treat board fit right on top of your Ultimate Tool (or they can be used separately).
When you stack them together, your embossing surface is flush.
Two make the popcorn box you have to cut out two of the box images from the top left. Some tutorials recommend using a spray adhesive to hold your paper in place. I found by lining up the edge of my paper with the top corner of my board, I had no trouble putting it back in place when I needed to look underneath to help find my scoring path. Here's my first piece after I scored it.
For the second piece, you won't need the bottom of the box. Here are my two pieces after being cut and and folded.
I used strong two-sided tape to adhere my box together ... see how the double-sided paper looks on the inside.
I decided to use some coordinating red textured cardstock for the lid for my pop corn box. Here is the portion from the Sweet Treat Plate that you need to use.
I adhered the top using more double-sided tape and then decorated it using more of the designer paper, my tag, and a flower.
I decided I wanted a latch to keep my lid closed, so I used two decorative brads and some twine as a closure.

It's the perfect little box to hold some sweet treats.
It's the final Sketch Challenge at Unscripted Sketches. I loved being on the design team for those sketches, and they have invited me back for the farewell Sketch design.
I used the beautiful paper and sticker I received from UmWow!'s Nature Walk Collection for my design ... they are so perfect for masculine card designs.
The stamped Happy Birthday sentiment is from Crafter's Companion Everyday Sentimentals - Imagine.
I'm also joining the Brown Sugar Challenge where the theme is Birthdays.
Later this week, Crafter's Companion will be releasing 4 new sentiment stamp sets, as well as a CD-ROM and embossing folders from the Vintage Floral Collection featuring artwork by Jessica Mundo.
My card features two gorgeous papers and a detail-cut and layered rose printed from the CD-ROM, as well as a sentiment from a new stamp set called Vintage Floral Verses. I finished with a vellum die cut butterfly.
