Forvevergreen Holiday

My Sweet EMBOSS-able You is our newest theme at Jingle Belles.  We're creating using texture embossing or heat embossing (or both if you're an over-achiever).

I embossed white cardstock with the Spellbinders Forevergreen Holiday embossing folder.  Next I applied ink using Catherine Pooler Deck the Halls Green ink.  Finally, I sprayed the panel with Crafter's Companion Bella Luna Gold Shimmer Spray.

 

 

 

Next, I matted the panel with gold and then dark green cardstock before adding the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtemper CZ Designs Merry & Bright die cut (layering the same gold & green cardstock).  I finished with a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Abstract Holiday from at least 2020.

 

With my Retro stamps and other products, I'm linking-up at the Retro Rubber Challenge Christmas in July.

SHAPING-up for the Holidays

Since we're half-way to Christmas, the Jingle Belles thought it was time we started SHAPING-up for the Holidays.  We're asking you to create a SHAPED card (anything other than square or rectangle will do).

I shopped my stash and found this Crafter's Companion Jolly Santa Die Cut Set that was still sealed-up in the packaging (no idea how long he's been waiting to see the light of day, but it's a been a while).

 

 

Rather than just die cut cardstock, I used my GelliArts Press and printed Red Paper with a touch of gold for his suit and had and flesh/pink paper for his face and nose.  I used metallic gold cardstock for the belt buckle.

 

 

The inside comes with slots to easily side in a gift card and write your message on the back side. I'm sure this will make a recipient smile when December rolls around.

We can't wait to see the SHAPES you will make.

Dreamy Doily Design

Did you see they are having a 9th Anniversary Party at Paper Anthology.  I made a card for their very first challenge - Put a Doily On it!

 

 

I used a light blue doily together with a water-colored Amy Tangerine Oh Happy Life Circle.  I paired it with a Distress Oxide Blended background that I embossed for subtle texture.

 

I added some puffy flowers and fish stickers, as well as some bling to decorate my circle.  I finished with coordinating wood block stamped sentiment & flowers ... for a dreamy doily design.

 

 

The layout is this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Santa will soon be making his appearance and he has no chance of getting here if not for his trusty Reindeer ... so that's the theme at Jingle Belles this week ... Reindeer.

However, we don't want to leave out their other cousins in the Cervidae family so you can also include deer, moose, elk OR caribou in your design … oh heck, just include any animal on your card (or even a monster if you're so inclined & want to stretch the theme ... yep, that's how we roll).

When I saw this week's Sunday Stamps Sketch and this Rudolph Ornament sticker in my stash, this card almost made itself.

 

I used a 6" snowflake embossing folder and embossed the background twice (meeting in the middle) and then added two strips of patterned paper from my stash.  A white doily, a sticker sentiment and a gold bow to match my sentiment, and I called this one done.

 

I'm also linking-up at Sweet Stampin' Challenge where the theme is Feature a Creature.

Fairy Princess Birthday

I needed a sweet little birhtday card for a girl turning three, so I thought this princess from the Angelica & Friends Collection CD-ROM from Crafter's Companion would be perfect.  

As she's sitting among the grass and flowers, it's also perfect for the Nature Challenge at One Stitch at a Time.

I used three cardstock scraps to bring out the colors in the image using this week's Paper Pals Arts Sketch.

I finished with an SRM Birthday Sticker Sentiment and a few Epoxy Dots (I skipped the sequins since I was worried about a 3 year old pulling them off).

 

You're My Person

I love the colors in the current Fusion Card Challenge ... they are the colors of my home.

I thought orange was perfect to feature my new little My Person {Fox} from Unity Stamp Company, which I colored with Spectrum Noir Blendable Colored Pencils.

Papers are from BasicGrey's Hey Boy Collection ... I finished with a scattering of sequins.

Not a CREATURE was stirring ...

We're having fun with our annual Creature Feature at Jingle Belles.

My creature is this cute little mail-puppy from Mulberry Wood.

I used a stamp from Crafter's Companion Jingle Bells with this week's Mojo Monday Sketch.  I added some fun digital paper buttons for the Crafter's Companion US October Buttons & Bows Challenge.

I'm also joining the Holiday Challenge at Addicted to Stamps and Anything Goes at Party Time Tuesdays.

Go for the Gold

Our theme at Jingle Belles is Baby It's GOLD Outside ... where we are celebrating the holidays with lots of glitzy gold.

I pretty much went all-out-gold with my card ... stamping done with Delicata Gold Glitz Ink ... gold DCWV Glitter bakcground ... gold sequins ... and snowflakes punched from gold foil paper.

Unfortunately, there was no gold ribbon in my stash (seriously ... how can that be), so I used blue glitter tape.  The layout is from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Fusion Challenge ~ Old Door Charm

I think this week's Fusion Card Challenge is perfect for a little distressing.

I was inspired by the colors, theme and shape of the door.  It felt a little *Americana* to me, so I started with Crafter's Companion Starry Eyed Embossing folder on Core'dinations Kraft-Core Nostalgic collection that I sanded with a sanding block to bring out the design.

Unity Stamp Company's Hope builds Courage once in red & again in brown for the accent banner, that I attached with foam tape.  I liked how the word hope repeated in the inspiration image, so I added a few more text stickers to finish the design.

 

All Better Now Thank You

I love the cute little stamps in Lawn Fawn's Get Well Soon set ... and this week I added the coordinating Lawn Cuts dies to my collection, which makes them even more fun to use.

This week's Lawnscaping Challenge is texture, which I added by adding Lattice Embossing to my designer paper ... and using foam tape to make my cute little elements pop off the page.

The Thank You Chit Chat is also from Lawn Fawn (with coordinating Lawn Cuts Dies).

And with all of my cute little die cuts, I'm also joining the Cutting Edge Blog Hop.
