Holiday Wreath

The September Challenge at Pinkfresh Studio is to use Wreaths and Leaves on your project.

 

 

I started with two wreaths cut from the Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Elements Washi Tape.  I cut one of the wreaths in half and positioned it over the second wreath.  Next I added the die cut poinsettia from the same Washi Tape and added some gold enamel dots.

 

 

I positioned my wreath on gorgeous paper from the Pinkfresh Studio / AlteNew Celebrate collaboration paper pad (which adds even more leaves to the overall design). 

I finished with a gold die cut sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Sentiment Ephemera.

I'm LEAF-ing it Up to You

At Shopping Our Stash, the newest prompt - I'm LEAF-ing it Up to You - is all about creating with LEAVES.

 

 

I started by foiling the Gina K. Designs Thankful Leaves with Therm-o-Web Peach Princess Foil and cutting them with the coordinating Dies.  Next, I used the same Peach Princess Foil with a Black Toner Card Front to create my foil-covered metallic cardstock.  I'm also joining the Gina K. Designs Monthly Mix Challenge to make your own metallic cardstock.

 

 

I attached the leaves (using foam tape for some to add dimension) and finished with a sentiment from Gina K. Designs Spring Tulips.

I used another Black Toner Card Front together with the negative of the leaves and die cut them with the coordinating dies for another Gina K. Designs #monthlymixchallenge card.

 

 

I mounted them on cardstock de-bossed with the Gina K. Designs Lattice Embossing Folder and finished with some gems and a different sentiment from Gina K. Designs Spring Tulips.

I'm also linking-up at the Cut It Up Colors of Fall/Autumn Challenge, and I'm joining Paperminutes Autumn Challenge.

Designer Paper Christmas Trees

I'm not sure how I never realized there is a monthly Challenge in the Share Handmade Kindness Facebook Group.  It's based on one of Jennifer Maguire's past technique videos, and this month it is on using Designer Paper.

Since she used Memory Box papers in her video, I pulled out my papers and used them for this week's Freshly Made Sketch.  As she suggested, I inked around the edges of my trees and added foam tape for dimension and contrast.

 

 

The Memory Box Challenge for September is Foliage - Trees or Leaves, so it works both with my leafy papers from Memory Box Garland and my triangle Christmas Trees.  Sentiment is Memory Box Christmas Tiles.  I finished with a scattering of bling.

 

Color Inspiration

I belong to Sande Poema's Cardmaking Group on Faceback where she provides lots of inspiration and some fun printables.  This is the Color Challenge inspiration this week.

I adore those colors, so I used them for today's GelliArts #abcprintingchallenge V is for Vegetable.  I wasn't sure what vegetable I was going to use, but when I went to the kitchen I saw the End of the bunch of Long Beans I had picked-up at the Farmers Market and had made for supper, so inspiration struck.

For the first print I put down the first paint color and pounced the beans into the plate.  Then, I used the second color to pick-up the print.  For the second one on the right, I twisted the Beans slightly as I pounced to get a different effect.

 

 

I decided to use the free printables she provided together with my prints to make a card.

 

 

I framed the digital image with a black circle.  Sentiment is from AlteNew Sentiment Strips.  I finished with some Black Tim Holtz Halloween Droplets.

Another Week of the #ABCprintingchallenge

I'm still having fun printing every day with GelliArts.

 

 

First-up is O is for Ombre.  I used Catherine Pooler Inks for several prints ... here's the one in purples.

 

You can click through to this post from earlier this week where I made a card from the P is for Postcard print.

Q is for Q-Tip is always fun.  I grouped three together and made dot clusters for one and swishes for the second.

 

 

For the R is for Rainbow prompt, I overlapped four colors of paint to create the eight hues of the rainbow.

 

 

S is for Stencil.  I used the Circles Circles Stencil from Stencil Girl, one of my most loved & paint-covered from my stencil stash.

 

 

T is for Typography. I attached a bunch of letter stickers to a piece of cardstock and made my own Typography Stamp.  It probably would have worked better with thicker letters, but I still love the effect.

 

 

U is for Upcycle was today's prompt.  I upcycled some Doilies I picked-up at the Create/Exchange, and rather than using paper or cardstock, I upcycled a clothing pattern for some transparent collage papers.

 

Merry Elfin' Christmas

We're still creating humorous, punny or snarky cards at Jingle Belles this week.

Another line of stamps I love for fun & snark are My Favorite Things Sassy Pants (this is Sassy Pants Holiday).  

 

 

I paired the sentiment with some fun puffy elf stickers I've had in my stash for longer than I remember ... aren't they laugh-out-loud perfect.  I've go an entire page of these adorable elves, so I just might have to make a few more.

Sending Big Hugs

I love big sentiments, so when I saw the latest Freshly Made Sketch, I knew I had to use one. 

 

 

I found this never-before-used Sending Big Hugs Dienamics from My Favorite Things and paired it with two of my Gelliarts Prints.

 

 

The gel print for my card was made for the P is for Postcard prompt at the #abcprintingchallenge with GelliArts.
