Bingo Birthday

My card started with the Retro Rubber Challenge and thoughts of how I might incorporate those colors.

 

 

Next, I looked at the Tic Tac Toe at The Paper Players, and decided I wanted to go horizontal across the center with designer paper, a die cut and enamel dots.  That took my shopping in my paper scrap bin.

 

 

I found this fun yellow bingo card that I die cut with a stitched rectangle.  Next I added some bright blue designer paper and coordinating enamel dots for a vertical Bingo. 

Then I finished with my Retro Rubber stamped woodblock sentiment from Savvy Stamps - block happy birthday - that is at least 2 years old, but I'm guessing closer to 10 years.  I stamped it in Versafine Claire Verdant Green.

 

 

I'm also joining the Anything Goes Challenge at Use Your Stuff, since all of the items on this card were certainly in the stuff category.

Snowflake Christmas

Somehow our weather seems to have gone straight from Summer to Winter, which makes me side since the cooler fall temps are my favorite.  We had to bundle up in coats, gloves and hats to walk to breakfast today.

So it seemed appropriate to create with snowflakes this afternoon for the #staycraftychallenge at Hero Arts October Holiday! Celebrate! Challenge.

 

 

I started by hot foiling the Hero Arts Snowflakes in Silver on light blue cardstock.

 

 

Next, I stamped the Hero Arts Make Your Own Snow Globe on a white tag and colored with watercolor markers, adding some silver metallic pen to the snowflakes falling in the sky.

I finished with some green twine & silver bling.

Monster Mash

It's too late to mail a Halloween card, but I thought I would make one more before I put my Halloween supplies away for the year.

I used fun Echo Park Monster Mash papers.

 

 

The layout is the Atlantic Hearts Sketch.

Yeti Christmas

This week at Jingle Belles we're still celebrating our Creature Feature. 

You know I couldn't resist picking-up a new Winter Yeti Die by Lawn Fawn and making it the star of the show.

 

 

I die cut the Yeti Scarf from a scrap of snowflake paper and then used it to frame my sentiment from Lawn Fawn Snow Day.

I attached them all to the Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflake Backdrop.

 

 

I'm also joining Jenn Shurkus Get Cracking on Christmas Challenge.

Rainbow Sky Birthday

The newest Add a Sky Challenge at Seize the Birthday is the final one where I have the privilege to be the Special Party Guest.

 

 

I started with some fun cloud paper and then built my Rainbow using Jaded Blossom Rainbow (and Clouds) Dies.

 

 

I added a Slanted Sentiment from Jaded Blossom Supersized Birthday Greetings for the Slanted Sentiment Challenge at Jaded Blossom and a few clear embellishments (aka raindrops).

Woodblock Charlie Brown

For the latest Woodblock Wednesday Challenge, I pulled out one of my Peanuts Stamps from 2005 by Stampabilities.

 

 

I colored him with Alcohol Ink Markers and went with a clean & simple design and classic Charlie Brown colors.

 

 

I used a wood block sentiment from my stash to finish the design.

 

Let's Get Sauced!

The newest Challenge at Shopping Our Stash is a color challenge.

 

 

I cut 1/2" strips in each color using the Quick Strips Die Cut from The Stamp Market and covered my background.

 

 

Next, I used the same colors for the Turkey Time Die from Scrapbook.com replacing the die cut eyes with the perfect googlie eyes.  The sentiment is printed.

I can't wait to see what you create with these awesome colors.

Color Hues Birthday

I love kraft and yellow together, so I wanted to make sure I joined the Color Hues Challenge.

 

 

I had seen several designs this week featuring circles, so I broke out the stitched circle die cuts and scraps of cardstock.

 

 

I needed birthday cards, so I stamped the Hero Arts Party Time image in kraft ink (love when a stamp combines a sentiment with an image) and added some Pinkfresh Studio Champagne Glitter Dots.

You Brighten My Day

The October Pinkfresh Studio Challenge is to create a project using Ombre or Tone-on-Tone color.

 

 

I pulled out my neglected Spellbinders Glimmer Machine and my new Pinkfresh Studio Modern Design Blocks Foiling Plate.  I used Spellbinders Aura Gold Glimmer Foil.

 

 

I did my ombre ink-blending with Pinkfresh Studio Coral Reef & Passion Fruit inks (inking before I foiled and then going back in with a bit more ink to smooth it out a bit ... although I feel like I am the world's worst ink-blender sometimes).

To let that background shine, I only added a gold foiled sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio Foiled Sentiments on top of a wrap of gold thread.

 

 

I finished with a few clusters of Pinkfresh Studio Ombre Glitter Drops: Sparkle & Shine.
