The creative plans for today are to make a dent in my birthday card backlog. I'm starting with ones that need to get in the mail.
I used Carta Bella Baseball paper and the Sketch from The Paper Players to make this softball-themed birthday card.
I inked the River City Baseball stamp (I miss that company) in brown and then added red for the seams ... it reminds me of the dirt-covered softballs I played with way way back in the day. When I first started playing softball, I was so terrible. I was relegated to right field on the worst team in the league. By my final season, I was playing second base on the league winning team. It was years of fun from my youth (although I always hated having to avoid the swimming pool on game days if I wanted to play). The smell or taste of Super Bubble Gum always takes me right back to the ball fields.
I finished with a vintage Hero Arts Woodblock Birthday sentiment.
I absolutely LOVE this card. I am a huge baseball fan! Such a fun way to use the sketch! So happy you joined us at The Paper Players this week!

This is one awesome card! LOVE all the baseball-themed things you've got going here! Although I am not with you about the gum....I have never been a bubble gum fan, you can have my lifetime supply of it, LOL! Thanks for playing with our challenge this week at the Players!
