Yes, I'm still creating with my Gelli Press prints. This time I cut two prints into one-inch strips and alternated them using the layout from Atlantic Hearts Sketch.
I used an alphabet from Honey Bee Stamps Hand Lettered Alpha and combined it with a tiny font sentiment.
Since this was a masculine card, I swapped the flowers in the Sketch with a wooden coffee cup sticker.
When I saw the new sketch at Global Design Project, I knew it was another opportunity to cut-up a Gelli Print.
This one wasn't a "reject" so-to-speak, but it did have interesting texture and layers that I thought would work with the 1" square punch for a masculine birthday card that needed to be mailable.
I played around with different background colors and settled on this one ... both because it's one of the recipient's favorite colors and I liked how it pulled out that color from the print.
I finished with a tiny typewriter font happy birthday.
The Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero Challenge is "They Say It's Your Birthday".
I decided to break out some old school wood block stamps and use it with the theme (Rainbow) and Sketch at Try Stampin' (or Not) on Tuesday.
I inked the Hero Arts Birthday Blackboard stamp with Red, Yellow, Blue & Purple overlapping the ink to the get the rest of the rainbow colors. I spritzed with water before stamping, since you only get one shot with a woodblock stamp.
Since I used a wood block stamp for the main image, I used another one for the Hero Arts Happy Birthday sentiment.
Just us Girls is sharing a Spring Mood Board this week for inspiration.
I combined it with the Sketch at TGIF Challenges using five different designer paper inspired by the Mood Board.
I die cut three Alexandra Renke greenery pieces inspired by the greenery in the Mood Board, and finished with a sentiment from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips - Friendship.
When I saw the Taylored Expressions April #TEMakerChallenge Sketch, I thought about lots of possibilities for those circles.
I decided to try punching 1 1/4" circles from one of my "rejected" Gelli Press prints from this card and arranged the circles on a white card base. This is a lesson in why I save Gelli Press prints that as a background may not have the look I want, but a punch or die cut can give the print an entirely different look.
I die cut the Taylored Expressions Coneflowers from three colors that coordinated with my background and finished with a Sentiment Strips - Friendship, which will be perfect to put in the mail to one of my crafty friends across the miles.

We're still creating Earth Day inspired holiday cards at Jingle Belles this week using recycled materials.
I started my card with a piece of saved Tim Holtz Holiday packaging for my card base ... I love the snowy edges.
I used the Sketch from Just Add Ink Challenge and layered on a number of Tim Holtz vintage holiday ephemera. I used a stamped sentiment from Taylored Expressions Pennant Parade Christmas and a rub-on sentiment toward the bottom.

Today I had an request to make a masculine welcome card to give to a new employee. I searched through my stamps to find one that said "welcome" ... but found none (other than a few "welcome little one" stamps for baby cards).
So what's a person to do ... Honey Bee Stamps Bee Bold Alphabet Honey Cuts to the rescue.
I die cut the letters from black cardstock & combined them with some masculine designer paper for a slimline card.

April Showers is the current Challenge theme at Shopping Our Stash - Create a card that features a *Shower* element ... rain, umbrella, rainbow, clouds, puddles or a Baby Shower or Wedding Shower card.
I truly shopped my entire stash trying to find an umbrella. Turns out, it's apparently not something that attracts me when I buy stamps. I finally found one in Essentials by Ellen Bear Wear, so I continued to shop my Essentials by Ellen stash to build a little scene.
I started it by die cutting the Essentials by Ellen Birch Trees Cover Plate from a copper gelli print and attaching it to a scrap of blue designer paper from my scrap stash. Since I built my card without really thinking where it was going to end-up, I realized after attaching the trees to the paper that I needed some raindrops to go with my Umbrella, so I used a stamp from Essentials by Ellen Organic Elements with some light blue ink.
I stamped & die cut the Bear from Essentials by Ellen All Inside together with his cute little chickie friend from Essentials by Ellen Sweet Spring Stamp & Die Combo.
I added some early spring blooms from Essentials by Ellen Nature Walk Stamp & Die Combo. I finished with a rose foiled sentiment from Essentials by Ellen Way with Words and a few cut clouds before attaching to a yellow card base.
I'm also joining the Crafting Happiness Rainy Weather Challenge.
And the Double D Challenge is celebrating all things related to April Showers.
I was so intrigued by the colors in the Color Throwdown Challenge ... I'm not sure if I've ever combined these colors before.
I have had a bag of four-leaf clovers that I had punched from a metallic gel press print sitting on my studio table for over a month, so since the theme at the Simon Says Challenge is Get Lucky, today was the day they finally got to be on a card.
I used all of my four-leaf clovers and added multiple gems to fill out the rest of the design. I finished with a lucky sentiment.
