We're still creating with Holiday Leftovers this week at Jingle Belles. When I saw the layout at Sketch Saturday, I thought it would be perfect to try with some of my Gelli Print leftovers.
I used a 1 1/4" square punch, and then realized I had enough leftovers from this particular Gelli Print to use the rest for the background. I finished with a leftover sentiment strip that I found at the bottom of one of my stamp drawers and a leftover piece of gold cord from my fiber stash.

One of the Penny Black Bright Bouquet Masterpieces is the perfect image for a Mother's Day Card and the Penny Black Saturday Challenge
I embossed it and a green cardstock panel with Penny Black Stitches of Love dies.
I finished with a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Sassy Mama by Cathy Zielske.
Today's card is a collage to celebrate a milestone of a co-worker. As I've said many times before, one of my favorite things about cardmaking is being able to make a card that is very specific to the recipient ... and collage even makes that more possible.
I started with a page from a vintage rate calculation book. and then layered on a vintage receipt, vintage savings stamps from Iowa, a piece of Tim Holtz Ephemera, and a tag saved from my many t-shirt purchases from Life is Good (they are my favorite v-neck t-shirts).
Next I added stickers from A Vintage Girl & her Daughter.
And for Amy T's Woodblock Wednesday, I stamped a sentiment from a vintage stamp (2005) from Corona Island Stamps called Enthusiasm on a piece of vintage paper from my stash.
Vintage trading stamps always make me smile.
The newest Challenge at Shopping Our Stash is Fold It Up - create a Card that features a non-standard Fun Fold design (easel card, gatefold, stair step, side step, trifold, etc) OR a card with interactive elements (shaker, mechanical, spinner etc).
I went with both a fancy fold & interactive with the Pinkfresh Studio A2 Slider Die. I die cut it from white cardstock and one more time from a wonderful purple to add a pop of color.
I die cut the Pinkfresh Studio Tuberose washi tape after attaching it to vellum for a translucent look. I also added a sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio My Favorite Things to Say. With those gorgeous blooms, I'm also linking-up at the April Flowers Challenge at Pinkfresh Studio.
When you pull the tag at the top of the card, you get the fun fold & the interactive element.
I attached a piece of Pinkfresh Ephemera to the inside of the card that has even more flowers and a large washi tape bloom on the part of the tag that pulls out. The flexibility of the vellum made it the perfect chose for my washi tape in this movable design.
It's also a Fancy Fold Challenge at Inspire.reate.Challenge, so I'm joining the fun.
Still working to get some birthday cards in the mail. This one features papers from BoBunny Garden Party Collection.
I added a tiny stamped Happy Birthday and gorgeous Pinkfresh Studio Ombre Glitter Drops (they are so lovely) using the Sketch from Try Stampin' (or Not) on Tuesday.
The theme at the Just Us Girls is Clean & Simple card featuring Food or Beverages.
Since the Topping at Seize the Birthday is Alcohol, that's where I went with my design.
I found this Martini glass in my stash and I added a few tiny olive stickers. It was perfect to pair with a snarky sentiment from My Favorite Things Sassy Pants Birthday Greetings.
I layered a white stitched die cut square using the horizontal slimline layout from the CAS Colours & Sketch Challenge.
I'm also joining the Anything Goes Challenge at Less Is More Challenge.
The creative plans for today are to make a dent in my birthday card backlog. I'm starting with ones that need to get in the mail.
I used Carta Bella Baseball paper and the Sketch from The Paper Players to make this softball-themed birthday card.
I inked the River City Baseball stamp (I miss that company) in brown and then added red for the seams ... it reminds me of the dirt-covered softballs I played with way way back in the day. When I first started playing softball, I was so terrible. I was relegated to right field on the worst team in the league. By my final season, I was playing second base on the league winning team. It was years of fun from my youth (although I always hated having to avoid the swimming pool on game days if I wanted to play). The smell or taste of Super Bubble Gum always takes me right back to the ball fields.
I finished with a vintage Hero Arts Woodblock Birthday sentiment.
One of my favorite things about the holiday meal is the leftovers … I always enjoy a little stuffing and cranberry sauce on my ham sandwich.
So this week we're celebrating Holiday Leftovers at Jingle Belles by creating cards using all of those little leftover pieces of paper, alphabet letters, stickers, ribbon … you know those things you have saved because they were just too cute or pretty to throw them away … well, we want to see you use them to make some fun leftover holiday cards.
Once of the best ways to showcase little bits and bobs is using a clean & simple design, so I started my design with the AAA Cards Challenge to use a torn or ripped edge.
I tore a strip from it to use with the Sketch from the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers.
Since it was purple, I decided to also go with the Color Hues Challenge of Purple & Green.
The Gina K. Designs Gnome for the Holidays Dies are perfect to use with scraps of paper that are too pretty to throw away ... I used two gelli print scraps and a scrap of white textured cardstock for the beard & pom pom on his hat. I took my inspiration from the Peace on Earth Challenge.
I finished with a sentiment from the Gina K. Designs Gnome for the Holidays stamp set. I'm also joining The Holly and Ivy Challenge where it's Anything Christmas.
And believe it or not, it's also Gnome for Christmas at Christmas Kickstart Challenge.
