Little Buddy Birthday

The Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero November Challenge is The Great Outdoors.

 

 

I bought the Hero Arts Little Buddy stamp set because of a co-worker who has a squirrel tattoo.  This was the perfect opportunity to make a birthday card featuring that cute little squirrel.

 

 

 

I colored them with my Graph'It Markers and finished with a sentiment from Hero Arts Message Strips Stamp & Cut.

 

 

With my one-layer clean & simple design, I'm also linking-up at the Less is More Outdoors Challenge.

And I'm also linking-up at the Sweet Stampin' Birthday Challenge.

Poinsettia Christmas

The current Penny Black Saturday Challenge is Anything Goes with an Option of Embellish It. 

 

 

I used a Penny Black Christmas Collage Stickeroo paired with a Penny Black Merry Christmas Die Cut that I die cut from Black (for the drop shadow) and Peach. 

I embellished with some yellow bling in the poinsettia centers.

Collage Camp Fun

While I was at Lauren's for what we dubbed "Collage Camp" I had fun playing with all of our bins of collage fodder.  She has lots of cut-out images and leftover bits, so it was fun to play and just glue as I went.  We determined she likes to move all of her things around for quite a while, take a picture, and then assemble.  I prefer to just find a piece I like, glue it down, and then just build around it gluing as I go.

Here is the first card I made together with my new Frida Kahlo Monster that Lauren made for my birthday.

Here's a second collage card with Fran's Coneflowers from Stampendous that I colored with a combination of markers.  

 

 

Lauren let me use her cool Pavilio white vinyl lace tape, and I finished with some gold water color paint splatters and a sticker sentiment.

Banner Holiday

Our final holiday card prompt of 2022 at Jingle Belles is to make a card inspired by our 2022 Blog Banner.

 

 

I started with a Christmas post card that had flowers that reminded me of the ones Lauren used on the left side of the design (and a green background like she used behind the title).  I found some Poinsettias in my ephemera and added it on the right side. 

 

 

Next step was to find a vintage Santa and add a bit of glitter (a few strips of green glitter paper).  I finished with trading stamps that reminded me of what is going on behind Santa's head in the banner.  I finished my mounting it all on a piece of vintage sheet music."

Fabulous Fall Wreath

The theme for the November PoppyStamps Challenge is Fabulous Fall.

I chose this PoppyStamps Adriana Wreath Die with its fall leaves as my focal point.  I die cut it three times from the cardstock colors in this weeks Global Design Project Challenge.

And since Fall is the season for thanksgiving, I paired it with a thanks sentiment from PoppyStamps Peony Bouquet.

 

 

I'm also joining the Creatalicious Challenge where the Optional Theme is Give Thanks.

Let's Get Sauced

I love the colors in the Joy Clair November Mood Board (it's been the palette of my fall wardrobe as well). #joyclairdesignsmoodboard #joyclairmoodboard

 

 

I decided to use the inspiration for a Thanksgiving card.  I went shopping my stash for a pink & Orange plaid inspired by the table cloth under the place setting, and while I was going through collections, I grabbed a couple of other pieces, including a marbled pink/orange piece that I used to stamp my Turkey from Joy Clair Turkey Talk (retired), that I matted with eggplant cardstock.

 

 

After coloring my Turkey, I added strips of some of the papers I found to the background & then attached him with foam tape (and I also learned about the colors of a male turkey's wattle - I had no idea they changed colors).

 

 

And rather than the childhood meaning of Juvenile for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, I went with a sentiment that includes the definition of humor that appeals to a sense of immaturity ... sophomoric so to speak (snort).  And by the way, I like my cranberry sauce with whole berries LOL.

And with those Polka Dots I snuck in there, I'm also joining Papercraft Polka Dot Challenge.

Ombre Birthday Gifts

The current Seize the Birthday Challenge is to use "many" of something on your card.

 

 

I combined it with the Retro Rubber Stamp Challenge to incorporate Ombre into the design.

 

 

For my "many", I chose the Gifted Background from Taylored Expressions (released in September 2019 for my Retro Rubber) & used four colors of Taylored Expressions green ink to create my ombre card.

 

 

I finished with some gold thread and a sentiment from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips - Birthday.

Gnoel

The November Honey Bee Buzzworthy Challenge is to use a stencil.

 

 

I used the smallest of Honey Bee Stamps Polka Dot Background Stencils with green glaze on a piece of Honey Bee Grain and Grunge Designer paper taking my inspiration from the white wood grain background in  the current Fusion Card Challenge.

 

 

Next I colored one of the Gnomes from Honey Bee Stamps Gnome Place Like Home using colors from the inspiration image & my Graph'It Markers.  I just got some new Pentel glitter pens and I love how the gold one looks.

 

 

I flipped the Fusion Card Challenge Sketch and used another piece of the wood grain paper from the paper pad inspired  by the dark wooden shelves in the image.

 

 

I die cut the sentiment from the Honey Bee Stamps Gnome Place Like Home Dies using the white paper from the background to die cut the base.  I finished with the tree from the Gnome Place Like Home set paper pieced with some polka dot paper to coordinate with the background and a punched star on the top.

I'm also joining The Holly and the Ivy Challenge where the theme is Anything Christmas.

Snowflake Shaker

The November Monthly Mix Challenge at Gina K. Designs is to make a shaker card.

 

 

I believe I could count the number of shaker cards I've made on one hand (and most of those have been in classes), but for Gina, I'll give it a try on my own.

Thankfully my newly acquired Gina K. Designs Snowflake Circle Cover Plate was the perfect shaker base.  I die cut it from Silver Glitter paper and then attached acetate to the back.

 

 

I used adhesive strips and filled the snowflake well with several colors of purple sequins before attaching it to purple cardstock.

 

I mounted my shakes to a fuchsia card base and finished with a sentiment from Gina K. Designs Sparkle & Shine.
