Since Lauren & I started Jingle Belles in 2010, I've been recapping my five favorite Christmas cards of the year (you can find 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 here) ... I always enjoy revisiting my creations for the year.
Here are my favorites in no particular order:
1. This card was made for our Neutral Noel Prompt at Jingle Belles. I love how I was able to incorporate so many different elements from my scrap paper basket including vintage sheet music and that lovely gold transparency scrap. I feel like the gold cord really tied it all together for me.
2. I loved the effect of using Alcohol Ink with a Stencil for the Tic Tac Toe Prompt at Jingle Belles ... I just love those colors together. The drop-shadowed Pine Tree decorated with Bling is a favorite too.
3. My second entry in the Neutral Noel Prompt at Jingle Belles was another favorite. Clearly I should create with these colors more often. I had so much fun making the different yet coordinated tags using lovely Ciao Bella's Blue Note Collection and layering them together.
4. The next one is another Alcohol Ink Piece inspired by our Jingle Belles Banner that incorporated Couture Creations Glitter Alcohol Ink. The Vellum shadow for the sentiment and glittery snowflakes really make this one pop.
5. And last up, Santa Claus ... the Man, the Myth, the Legend for a little Ho Yo Yo. I love the sunglass lenses from a recycled tissue box paired with the fuzzy texture of felt for his beard and Santa Hat.
As always, hard to pick favorites, but also fun re-visiting all the holiday cards I made (and gave) this year.
Remember, if you'd like to have lots of holiday cards ready when December rolls around, you can join us for our 12th year of Jingle Belles Mayhem beginning January 1st
Love them all!
