Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending the Friday Class Event for Taylored Expressions Spring Stamp Joy.
I really liked the rainbow-themed stamps we received, as well as the unexpected color combination of Pumpkin, Pineapple, Pink Champagne and Cotton Candy.
I swapped out some of the sentiments and played around with the layouts, but generally followed the instructions for each card.
For this card, we were supposed to use a fine loose glitter on the clouds, but I don't do glitter, so I sprayed watercolor paper with glimmer mist and then used the same glimmery paper for my sentiment.
I loved how the stencil added the rain drops around the stamped cloud background ... and how you could stamp the individual rainbows with the cling & clear coordinating stamp set. the little strip of color at the bottom of the card front is another tip to remember.
For the next card, we splattered the front panel with white ink (although it's a bit hard to see in the picture) and then stamped our rainbow background and embossed it in gold before water coloring with the same colors of Karin Markers.
We mixed-up the rainbow order and added some tiny stamped hearts.
The next card involved embossing with a stencil, which I never did get to work in my die cutting machines (I tried two different ones), so I just moved on and inked the stencil with pineapple and a bit of pumpkin.
I loved that you can die cut the clouds with stamping & without with the same dies ... and the scalloped rectangle was a nice touch too.
For the final card, we stamped the entire background with the cling and clear stamps, which went amazingly quick.
Then we stenciled and added glimmer paste to the rainbows. I swapped out a sentiment from Taylored Expressions Building Blocks - Be Bright.
I'm looking forward to another full day of Stamp Joy creating today.
Great cards!! I can't pick a favorite. Love them all!

I am so jealous that you got to attend this class. I so want to attend a card class again. I LOVE all your beautiful cards. That rainbow is so fun and I like all the different designs you were able to get out of it!
