When I saw this morning's Inspiration Challenge at SplitCoastStampers was an absolutely adorable Washi Tape Store - Cute Tape - I had to go shopping. And after placing my order, I dug into my rather large Washi Tape Stash and made a card inspired by lots of the patterns in the store (including lovely hearts and clouds).
And they just happen to be one of my favorite color combinations (as evidenced by how many washi tapes I have in these hues), which is also the color combination at The Color Throwdown Challenge.
I started with metallic silver cardstock and attached my assortment of tapes at an angle letting the silver cardstock peek through too. I used my At 2 Nested Rectangle Dies from The Ton to cut out my Washi and two more panels for my card.
I inked-up the perfect Christmas Sentiment from Uniko Studio Simply Said Blocks Christmas Clear Stamps with Cherry Kisses Ink from The Stamp Market. I finished with two trios of wonderful Silver Drip Drops from Taylored Expressions.
I'm also joining the Tic Tac Toe Challenge at The Paper Anthology 9th Anniversary Celebration (down the left side with Christmas Card, Glitter and Bling & my Die Cut Card bases).
Oh wow Stephanie, this is so fun! You're inspiring me to have a go too except I'd need to go shopping to get more tapes in similar colours and should I do that just before Christmas? (The right answer is No, but washi tape is so economical isn't it - AND it can be used to wrap gifts can't it?!!) Vicky x
