Welcome to Day 3 of the sneak peak posts for the Jaded Blossom I Love the 80's release ... I'm having so much fun Guest Designing.
Skittles were a big 80's candy for me (introduced in 1979), so I thought they were be perfect to pair with this fun roller skate from the Jaded Blossom Kawaii 80's Stamp Set I stamped it on white cardstock, detail cut out the skate, and then used the Ink Smoosh Technique with Acetate using three colors of Distress Oxide ink (Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover & Blueprint Sketch) to color my skate. I love how it sort of gave it a tie-dye effect.
The topper is the Jaded Blossom Fancy Topper Die cut from Blue Glitter card stock with the Insert from light green that coordinated perfectly with my skate. Using the colors from the Skittles, I stamped my Pump Up the Jam Sentiment on Yellow card stock. I attached my sentiment & skate with foam tape, and positioned the sketch right on top of my sentiment.
I made several coordinating cards featuring the Jaded Blossom Love the 80's Stamp set. I love how the stamps combine sentiments with images ... so perfect for cards.
You guessed it, more neon. The Stars are from the inside of the Glasses Die Glasses cut from Yellow Glitter paper and the Roller Skates are from the Jaded Blossom Kawaii 80's Stamp Set. I used my Neon Karin Markers for coloring.
And all of us who lived through the 80's remember the importance of a good Boom Box.
This card is inspired by the Words at the Time Out Challenge.
I added more Karin Neon Marker coloring and some pink pearl bling to decorate mine ... how perfect does it look with that great rainbow paper.
Thanks for joining me for Day 3 of the Sneak Peak of this super-fun Jaded Blossom I Love the 80's release.
