Today's Class at Spring Card Camp was all about creating a Faux Dye Dip Effect with Watercolors. Kristina Warner admitted it took her an hour and a half to create her panels.
Well, I knew I had neither the patience nor the time for that tonight, so I took a bit of a short-cut approach and created a single panel with the paints that were on top of my bin ... some never-before-used gorgeous metallic Fine-tec Mica Watercolor Paints.
I love how it turned out ... such gorgeous ombre shimmer. I cut my piece into different sized strips and attached it to a pink card base leaving a slight distance between the strips. I used a Pink Song Lyric Sticker to finish my design.
I'm happy with my first attempt, but I know with more time and practice, this could produce some really cool results.
