After last week's Makeover Card for the Gina K. Designs January Monthly Mix Challenge, I decided to do a makeover on an older Gina K. Designs card from April 2016. This was a Wedding Card for the Splitcoast Stampers Inspiration Challenge.
I stuck with Authentique Papers, the same Gina K. Designs Always & Forever Image (and sentiment ... now discontinued) and the Gem Flourish for my Makeover design.
This time I used Authentique's Everlasting Collection and cut several 1" or so strips to create the patterned background. Another thing that has changed since 2016 is the Gina K. Designs Amalgam Ink ... it made stamping that solid couple so much easier. Since by background was monochromatic, I added a contrasting red bling flourish and finished with some gem hearts instead of a flower.
I really like both versions of this design, but I think the contrast of the red and black make that one a bit more elegant.
Gorgeous cards
