The October release is mostly about Christmas ... which I love, since I make my holiday cards all year long. Remember, you can use my Discount Code TJ10Stephanie for an additional 10% off your entire purchase (new stamps are already 15% off through October 8th).
My Gran had a silver metallic Christmas tree when we were growing-up, so I wanted to try the new Scratched Tree Stamp on Metallic Silver Card stock. I stamped it in Flirty Fuchsia several times using my MISTI and then embossed with Wow! Coconut Ice Embossing Glitter. The sparkle is marvelous.
I finished with a thin sticker sentiment at the bottom to let the image shine.
I also had to try the tree in more traditional hues. I sprayed watercolor paper with Distress Oxide Sprays and then let it dry. Next I inked the Scratched Tree in Green and stamped on top multiple times using my MISTI.
I used a scrap of the sprayed paper to stamp the sentiment from the new Victorian Greetings and then added some bling to frame it.
Next I tried the Scratched Tree over another Distress Oxide Spray background.
This time I decorated the tree with bling and added a blingy decoration to the top ... I just love all of the easy to create possibilities with this image. I'm also linking-up at the Let's Get Ready for Christmas Challenge at Simon Says Stamp.
Next up is the new Poinsettia Set. I started by spraying another piece of water color paper with Distress Oxide Sprays.
Then I used my MISTI to cover the paper with various sized Poinsettia blooms.
I wrapped my card with a Christmas Bow and then stamped the sentiment from the Poinsettia Set onto a scrap of the sprayed paper.
Next I created with the new Christmas Lights Background. This paper background was created by smooshing a piece of water color paper into the sprayed background for the poinsettia card and picking-up the extra ink. Next I stamped the Christmas Lights in black ink.
I used several colors of Spectrum Noir Markers to color the bulbs and a metallic marker to add a bit of sparkle where they attached to the cord. The sentiment is another from the Victorian Greetings Set. I can't wait to color those lights in all of the favorite combinations from my childhood.
My final card for today's release features the new Reindeer Names Background. I was having so much inky fun, I stuck with my Distress Oxide Sprayed Backgrounds before I stamped in Black Ink.
Next, I cut my background into strips and attached it on the black card base.
I finished with lots of bling and a third sentiment from Victorian Greetings (this set is a must-have for holiday cards).
