Technique Junkies New August Stamps

I started by practicing some of the watercolor skills I learned from Eff Cee on the gorgeous Framed Sunflower using golden yellows, oranges and browns.  When I was done painting, I added orange splatters to finish the design.

 

The sentiment is from Simple Sentiments Set 1b.  I'm linking-up at Watercooler Wednesday where the theme is Anything Goes.

 

Next I did a more free-form watercolor technique using the new Echinecia Stamp.

 

 

I used the colors from these Cheyenne Spirit Coneflowers as my inspiration for my color palette.  I found a scrap of water-colored paper in my stash that was the perfect background.  The sentiment for this card is from Simple Sentiments Set 2b.

 

I'm linking this one up at the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes Watercolour Challenge (no Ocean, but it takes a lot of water to keep those flowers blooming).

 

I thought the new Prickly Stamp was perfect for paper piecing.  I stamped it on green cardstock, cut it out, and added shading with colored pencils.  I stamped it a second time on wood grain designer paper.

 

I backed it with some hand-marbled paper I made before attaching to a Cactus Green Card Base.  The Prickly Cactus is also perfect for the {Cupcake Inspirations} Challenge this week.

 

 

I'm also entering it in the Anything Goes Challenge at Cute Card Thursday.

My final card features the new Inside Out For the Girls Set.  I could think of someone for each sentiment included in the set.

 

 

I paired this one with some Eyelet Outlet Sneaker & Water Bottle brads and washi tape.  The inside reads:
