Lots of lovely new stamps for the June Technique Junkies release ... many with a summer beachy theme. Remember, you can stack my discount code TJ10Stephanie for an additional 10% off the entire store (including new releases ... so that makes them 25% off).
One of my favorite flowers is the Hydrangea. My grandma had huge pink and blue ones just outside the back door on the carport. It was a cool shaded area sitting in the doorway on the concrete, and I spent a lot of time there admiring the blooms.
The new Technique Junkies Hydrangeas were colored with 11 different Spectrum Noir markers with a lot of palette blending to get just the right shades of greens, purple/blues and browns.
The sentiment is from Technique Junkies Simple Sentiments Set 1, Style a. I'm linking-up at the Watercolor Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge & the Anything Goes Challenge at Simon Says Stamp.
My next cards were started by by spraying watercolor paper with Shimmering Bliss Spray (Ocean Depth, Miami Vice & Vivid Volt) to create some fun watery backgrounds. This one combines one of the awesome new Underwater Borders with the new Saltwater Heals Everything sentiment. Those awesome tropical papers are from Kaisercraft Paradise Found Collection.
I combined another Shimmering Bliss background with the wonderful new Born to Fish Stamps. I die cut a few puffy clouds to give the fisherman the perfect slightly overcast sky.
This one is linking-up at the Beside the Seaside Challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz.
For my next card, I had fun playing with the new Pearl Distress Inks and creating my background. Next I stamped the new Nautilus Mosaic Background in black ink and clear-embossed. The big bold lines of this stamp make it perfect for all sorts of background play.
I learned that in the future, I should probably stamp and then ink (even with Staz-On and my MISTI I had trouble getting the ink to stick to the solid areas), but I still love the effect ... almost like stained glass. Sentiment is Technique Junkies Beach Day.
I played with more Pearl Alcohol Inks for this card together with some Neon colored pencils with the new Beach More Stamp.
