Dad came to visit for a long weekend ... which means lots of good eats, art hanging, and home repairs.
We had supper last night at my new favorite local restaurant - NaRa Thai Cuisine ... I have seriously been eating my way through the menu. Last night I had the sweet & sour chicken ... never would have thought to include cucumbers, but they were so good.

Then this morning we headed to Solon, Iowa for the best local breakfast from the Salt Fork Kitchen (we devoured our meals, so I forgot to take a picture). We did sit in one of the church pew seats for a photo.

Next stop was Duffy's Classic Cars to dream about owning one of the beauties in the shop. Dad's love was the 1963 Corvair.

I preferred the 1969 International Scout in Bahama Blue.

Next we hung some new shelves in my studio ... and some new art on the stairway and in the loft. My original painting by Amy Carani of Amy & Amy Designs is on the left.

And new shelves in the studio to hold my Hires Root Beer Bottle (we live in a former Hires Bottling Plant) and art from friends. I picked-up the texty woman on a wooden block at the Art Fair this summer.

And we finished with a late lunch at a new restaurant in the neighborhood ... Bo Macs ... quite delicious.

We'll be up to more mayhem tomorrow ... depending on how much snowfall we get tonight.
