The My Sweet Petunia Designers are joining the Unity Stamp Company team for a fun Autumn Blog Hop. If you'd like to find the entire list of designers who are creating today, you can go to the My Sweet Petunia Blog or the Unity Stamp Company Blog.
For my first card, I decided to join in the Unity Stamp Company Be Inspired Kraft Challenge and create my Warm & Cozy Season Angie Girl in shades of brown.
I started with a scrap of paper bag brown cardstock from my stash (love when I can use those scraps). I usually try to stamp on a piece that is larger than what I want, so I can trim down ... but since this one was exactly the size I needed, stamp placement is more important ... yay for the MISTI.
I wanted to paper piece her hat, so I found a slightly darker scrap of brown cardstock and inked-up her hat (no need to ink the entire stamp, since I'll be cutting-out the hat).
I added some metallic gold to her hair and a bit of brown marker to the trim on the coat and pom pom and trim on her hat ... then I decided to add a few snowflakes (again, never would have tried that before the MISTI for fear of messing-up all the work I had already put into my Angie Girl). I positioned my piece of paper in the middle, so I could easily stamp off the edges.
Finally I wanted to incorporate some feathers like those in the Inspiration Photo for the Challenge.
I couldn't believe I didn't have any feathers in my Unity Stash ... so instead I used this branch from Unity Jar of Mixed Sentiments that felt feather-like. I did first and second generation stamping to get various shades of brown for my background ... again, super-easy with my MISTI. I just do my first stamp on a piece of scrap paper and then pull it out and do my second stamping.
Love how all of the elements of my design came together ... I finished with a few champagne gems in the center of the snowflakes.
I'm also linking-up at the Crafty Calendar Challenge where the theme is Paper Piecing.
I'm also Hiding in my Craft Room with Fall Colors (because this time of year in Iowa, the leaves are all pretty much shades of brown).
The next stamp I create with was Unity Stamp Company's Special Delivery Mouse.
I started by roughly water coloring a piece of watercolor paper with silver & purple shimmer paint. Once it dried, I stamped my cute little Mouse in Watering Can Ink and then used a marker to add a little pop of color.
I die cut my panel with a stitched rectangle and then cut a second rectangle from grey cardstock (can't figure out who makes that die).. I finished with a wrap of grey ribbon, some tiny star washi tape and a glittery bloom. The background is Petite Patterned Paper by Gina K. Designs. I'm linking-up at Happy Little Stampers Anything with Dies Challenge.
My final card features the beauty of Metallic Embossing (Copper in this case) with O' Holy Blessed Night. I used my MISTI to line-up my image stamp, the star, and both sentiments using Versamark Champagne Ink on Watercolor Paper.
Next I embossed it all using Copper Embossing Powder. I finished with a row of Copper Nail Heads along the side on Copper Metallic Cardstock & a Kraft Card base.
Great cards! Thanks for sharing.

I love browns so of course I love your use of them! I love to stamp on paper bags too, wish the grocery stores here still used them.

Love the neutral shades in the cards and you certainly used the Misti to great advantage with the Angie Girl card.
