The current Impression Obsession Challenge is Things with Wings.
I pulled out everything wing-related from my stash and decided to combine the Birch Trees (and perched Cardinal) with a sentiment from Everyday Quotes 1.
I wish I could make the weight of the world feel more like wings.
When I saw the new theme at AAA Cards to be Inspired by a TV Show, I knew I had to break-out some of my sets from The Ink Road Stamps (the best TV Show and Movie Stamps).
This morning's inspiration and life advice comes from none other than the venerable Ron Swanson of Parks & Rec and my Snarks & Recreation Set from The Ink Road.
I also took my Diamond (aka Argyle) inspiration from the Code Word at Addicted to CAS.
While I had my Ink Road Stamps collection on my studio table, I also made a card for this week's Inspiration Photo at The Card Concept.
I pulled out some Mint Green & Flamingo Pink inks together with my Majestic AF Stamp Set. I think my design falls into the Clean & Graphic Design Style.
I used some graphic black & white cardstock inspired by the background in the photo ... and added a few enamel dots to pull in the round pom poms from the bunting.
I love the magic that can sometimes happen when you stamp on designer paper ... like what happened here when I stamped Technique Junkies Boo Convention on a piece of starry galaxy paper. The twinkly stars and ombre colors give the large open image a fun ethereal look.
I used my MISTI to position my stamp, so I got all of the shades from blue to purple. Then I used another part of the same 12" sheet for the background with this week's Freshly Made Sketch. Sentiment is Technique Junkies Happy Halloween stamped on scrap of the same paper.

We're still creating cards featuring SNOW at Jingle Belles. I decided to build my card around Lawn Fawn's Stitched Snowflakes.
I die cut the snowflakes from Watercolor paper, Blue and Red Card Stock and layered them on a piece of lighter blue designer paper. I picked the colors based on the tiny image of children sledding.
I used the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Yeti Set Go (I intended to join the Something Old, Something New Challenge at Lawn Fawn, but it turns out both the stamp set and dies were released in the Winter of 2014).

When I saw the theme at the Retro Rubber Challenge was a sketch, I knew I wanted to make a Halloween Card ... because all my Halloween stamps are retro.
Both of my stamps are from Northwoods Rubber Stamps. The sentiment and Pumpkin both date back to to 2009 (where I picked them up on a Rubber Stamp Store Road trip and used one here). I realized after photographing my card that I should have colored the grass under the pumpkin, but I'm okay with leaving it orange.
Since my sentiment was too long to fit where the sentiment was placed on the sketch, I stamped it across the top and added a second sentiment sticker. I finished with a Bat Sticker for the circle sketch element
I also joined the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge where they are creating with Complimentary Colors (I used two shades of orange and two shades of blue).
I finally had some time this afternoon to break out my Halloween creative supplies. I keep them all in a single drawer that I only pull out once a year, so it's sort of like a little Christmas when I break them out.
I started with the Holiday Prep Challenge at TGIF Challenges.
I used three pieces of Authentique Halloween Papers together with some vintage Monsters I have in my stash.
With that adorable little Boo! Rahh! crew, I'm also linking-up again at the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers M is for Monster Challenge.
My second card uses the sketch from this week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday - or Not - Challenge and Graphic45 Papers.
I used more Authentique Halloween Papers together with a Martha Stewart Spider Web Coaster.
I added some sparkly spider stickers to my web and a sticker sentiment to complete the design.

I've been wanting to join the Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash Challenge for September ... only one problem ... no Halloween or Fall Reverse Confetti Stamps in my stash.
Tonight as I was watching the University of Iowa and University of Wisconsin Football Game, I starting thinking how I could stretch my definition of Fall Fun ... football certainly qualifies as Fall Fun for many people in Iowa. However, no football stamps in the Reverse Confetti stash either.
But I did have one of the other mainstays of a cold night football game ... a stocking hat from Reverse Confetti Happy Winter (in Iowa, Fall starts feeling a lot like Winter, especially at night).
I stamped my hat in University of Iowa Colors (Black & Gold) ... and then found the perfect sentiment sticker in my stash ... because for many people in Iowa, the Colors of Autumn are Black & Gold.
The layout is this week's CAS(E) this Sketch! using some vintage Basic Grey paper for my stripes.
