We're celebrating BELLS at Jingle Belles ... you know ... anything that goes ring-a-ding-ding.
I searched through my paper stash and found this vibrant Jingle Bell paper, so I built my card around it.
The focal image is a 3-D gift tag and the sentiment is a sticker. Layout is this weeks Sketch Challenge from The Paper Players.
It's also an anything goes Christmas Challenge at The Holly and the Ivy Challenge.

Tonight I played with a wide assortment of My Favorite Things products to create a card for the Wednesday Sketch Challenge.
I started with the Banner Die Cut from MFT Die-namics Blueprints 27, and then went searching for sentiments to fill the banner knowing I wanted to make a birthday card.
I used sentiments from three different MFT Stamp Sets - Be Original, Piece of Cake and Make a Wish. (looks like 2 of the 3 sets I used are discontinued ... maybe I'll get lucky & win, so I can get some newer MFT sets for my stash).
Then I decided the banners were a bit too narrow to stand on their own, so I added some birthday candles from Piece of Cake at the bottom and a fun little Birthday Monster from Monster Love at the top ... because who doesn't appreciate a monster for their birthday.
I'm also joining the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge where the theme is Anything Goes.
Memorial Day seemed like the perfect day to join the Red, White & Blue Color Throwdown Challenge.
I started by searching for papers in my stash, and found this wonderful unopened package of Pictures of Metal from Elizabeth Craft Designs (it's 48 sheets of paper on sale for $1.95 if you like these sorts of designs), which just happened to have red, white & blue.
I also wanted to join the Impression Obsession Challenge to Send a Little Humor and the Simon Says Stamp Challenge to use more than one Stamp.
I started by tearing my papers and attaching them to my card base. Next I stamped Impression Obsession Seth Apter's Solar System Stamps in Red & Blue.
I finished with the Impression Obsession Genius is Crazy.
Since I still had the other half of my torn papers, I decided to use the Retro Rubber Challenge Sketch to make another card.
I rotated my torn paper and added a vintage race car (thanks Lauren) with my vintage stamp instead of the oval. I'm also joining the Simon Says Stamp Masculine Challenge with this design.
My Retro Rubber Wood Outlines Have Fun Block Stamp is at least 11 years old (since that's the oldest card in my gallery I can find using it). I added an epoxy arrow for the embellishment element of the sketch.
Since it's also Mail it Monday, I think these are going to go out in the mail today (okay tomorrow, but I'll put them in the mail slot today).
I love the wonderful colors in the May Color Trends Challenge at Ellen Hutson.
I found a piece of designer paper from Basic Grey's Soleil Collection (oh how I miss their papers) that incorporated a lot of the colors, so I turned it into an ocean for my Mermaid's Tail stamps from Essentials by Ellen. Those flowers reminded me of the scales on the Mermaid Tail.
I added some additional stamps from Essentials by Ellen S'Whale set.
I had to join the fun at the semi-annual Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Kudos to Amy T for all the work she puts into this massive blog hop.
I created a relatively mono-chromatic CAS design using stamps from STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements and Good Books & Coffee.
The layout is this week's CAS(E) this Sketch.
We're still creating with ribbon, lace, seam binding, fibers, ric rac, twine or any other trimmings you have in your stash at Jingle Belles.
I had a memory of creating lots of ribbon cards years ago for a Caardvarks Challenge (turns out it was almost 11 years ago when I found the original blog post). As I looked at this cards again, I decided to use a technique inspired by this card.
Rather than doing the square quilted design, I covered my card base with adhesive and attached the various ribbons in a straight diagonal line. My color inspiration came from the gold/red ombre seam binding and built from there.
Turns out cutting through all that ribbon was a bit more challenging than I thought (probably why I worked with a fixed square the last time vs. a bigger sheet), but I managed to end-up with two rectangles that were relatively straight (don't look too closely).
I mounted this one on a gold card base and used a Taylored Expressions Grumpling & coordinating sentiment that I colored to match the ribbon.
The second card was built around that cute little clothes pin sentiment. I used two layers of foam tape under my ribbon panel, so the clothes pin could attach and lay flat on the card base (needless to say, this card will be hand delivered). I found the vintage Santa in a drawer of random embellishments and finished with a sticker sentiment.
