I had an awesomne first day at Creativation 2018. So fun to finally get to hug virtual friends and make new kinds of art.
I started my day with the offical release of the latest stamp in the "Love" series - Love Flourishes - from the United States Postal Service, unveiled by Anna Bond of Rifle Paper Company, the designer of the stamp (on the right dressed to match her gorgeous stamp).
Next, I attended my first class of the day - Seth Apter's Mixed Media Revolution. Seth is holding the sample for the class.
We were the very first ones to get to use his newest colors of paint from PaperArtsy ... I got the Winter Palette in my supply bag ... together with his stamps from Impression Obsession and stencicls from StencilGirl.
Here is my version of Seth's Revolution project ... I seriously fell in love with using those paints for monoprinting and this amazing Canva Paper from Canson.
Next I enjoyed lunch with artist Linda Brun who was visiting from Norway ... we got to take both classes together today, which was a fabulous treat. I love how she had a t-shirt printed with her art.
And the second class was learning Brush Lettering with Kelly Creates ... I've been a lurker in her Facebook group, so it was fantastic to meet her and try her new products.
I can understand why getting really good at this takes months of practice. My hands felt so weak trying to control the pressure of the brush markers.
I ended my day hanging out with lots of Stamp Junkies, which may have included some adult beverages and lots of laughter (me and the oh-so-talented Chris Dayton).
I'm looking forward to three more classes tomorrow and dinner with my friends from Norway.
Super Fun pics!

I'm glad your knee injury hasn't cramped your style.
Enjoy the classes today and the show!
