Did you know that November 24th is officially Celebrate Your Unique Talent Day? And the My Sweet Petunia MISTI Design Team is celebrating a lady with lots of Unique Talents ... including the skills, tanacity and ability to invent and patent a tool that completely changed the stamping industry ... Iliana Myska, the inventor of the MISTI. She is positive ... an encourager ... and truly a bright light in the industry.
We each made a card to celebrate Iliana's creativity and ingenuity ... click through and visit them all and leave her some creative love.
Also, My Sweet Petunia is having a sale - 20% off the whole store - no coupon needed through the 26th. The bar magnets are a must-have and of course you need a studio bag if you don't have one (it holds so much stuff).
For my card, I used the November Sketch for You To Try together with Reverse Confetti One Day at a Time Stamps.
To get the gradient effect on the sentiment I used my MISTI and new Catherine Pooler Inks. Is started by stamping the entire sentiment with Mint to Be.
Then I inked the bottom word of the sentiment (and a bit of the middle word) with Aquatini. I used my finger to smudge the ink a bit before stamping, so there wasn't a hard line between the two colors.
I finished by only using Aquatini on the bottom sentiment. The final touch was some layered sequin and pearl flowers.
Make sure you hop through and see all of the other cards by the Design Team ... and then go celebrate your own Unique Talent today (and every day).
And to make it even more of a celebration, we will be drawing the name of one lucky participant who comments on every blog (before noon CST on Monday) to win an original or mini MISTI of their very own.
love this card - it’s a bold statement with en-courageous meaning - cool textured design in the background as well.

I love your layout on your card. The MISTI is Fabulous for stamping, layouts, etc. What did we do before Iliana invented it? We struggled, lol.
