The theme at the Impression Obsession Challenge this month is You're Invited ... to create an invitation.
I made a wedding shower invitation using my MISTI and Impression Obsession Wedding Collage. I stamped multiple times using the wedding colors of light blue, dark blue & green ... the MISTI makes it easy to blend the colors to create a tri-color collage.
I finished by attaching a sentiment from Impression Obsession Love Songs 1 with foam tape.
The thing I love about inspiration challenges (at least for me) is that I never know where I'm going to end-up with my design.
I looked at the pictures in the Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge and had several ideas ... but I always let myself go through all of my EBE stamps, and I pull out any sets that I think might work.
I initially thought I might use a bird image, but then I became fixated on the mosaic design and how I could use that as my inspiration. I stamped one of the stamps from EBE Season to Sparklehttps://www.ellenhutson.com/essentials-by-ellen-clear-stamps-season-to-sparkle-by-julie-ebersole/ in Royal blue with one of my gel press prints that had all of the colors from the bottom half of the color palette.
My bird was then replaced by die-cutting the EBE leaping reindeer from royal blue cardstock to get the same contrasted color effect. I added a row of champagne gems to bring in the stacked-rock element of the design. I finished with the sentiment from Season to Sparkle embossed in Royal Blue on Gold Shimmer cardstock (for the reflective shimmer of the water in the Inspiration Photo).
I love how my card incorporates all of the elements of the Pin-Sights picture.

This week we're celebrating the creative art of Embossing ... dry embossing, heat embossing, or even textured or embossed papers ... whatever you can do to add a little texture to your holiday project.
I tried embossing one of my Gelli Prints with a Darice Fancy Snowflakes embossing folder, and the results were pretty much lost in the pattern of the background. Next I tried applying Lawn Fawn Blue Jay ink direct-to-paper and the embossed texture came to life.
I love the results. Sentiment is from The Ton Holiday Lyrics and Flower Bling that is new from Eyelet Outlet (I thought the shape of the flower echoed the snowflakes in the background).

The theme at Shopping our Stash is Not your momma's card! ... to create a mildly (or maybe a little more) inappropriate card or creation! It was the perfect chance to use my new STAMPtember stamps If the Hat Fits.
I used one of my Gel Press prints as the base, and built my card around it.
I used the Sketch from Kathy's Waffle Sketch File
together with The Tic Tac Toe Challenge (diagonal from the left metallic, paper piece & rounded corners).
I also popped-up all of my elements with foam tape for the Pop It Up Challenge at Simon Says Stamp.
Today I'm featuring Antique Car Washi Tape backgrounds with awesome vintage car illustrations.
For this first card, I attached the Washi Tape to a scrap of white cardstock. I love the wonderful grey/tan shade of this tape.
This is the inspiration photo for today's PaperTrey Ink Blog Hop.
I have no birds or floral stamps, so I had to get creative. I took my inspiration from the colors and how they contrasted with the background ... and how the bird carrying flowers reminded me of carrying birthday balloons (can't you see her bringing those to the birthday party instead of balloon bouquet).
There just happened to be a Gel Press Print on my studio table with all of the right colors, so that's what I created my design around using the Text Block: Party Time Die Cut.
I die cut from Red & from my Gel Press Print to fill in the balloons ... then I used the rest of the Gel Press Print to frame my design.
I am thrilled to be joining the Blog Hop with the My Sweet Petunia MISTI team and Kitchen Sink Stamps.
I was given the Plaid Plus! Stamp set to create with (thanks so much KSS). I love plaid and stripes, and the MISTI give you so many possibilities.
I started by stasmping the Three-Row Stripe from the set three times in Sunkissed Orange from AlteNew ... I keep my stamp in the same place on my 12" MISTI and move the paper vertically to cover it.
Next, I trimmed and rotated my paper so I could do the same stamping the other direction using the Darker Autumn Blaze Ink.
For me, this plaid screams autumn, so I added some fun Pumpkin Washi Tape & Pumpkin Brads from Eyelet Outlet, together with a sentiment sticker. I finished my design with some matte black enamel dots.
For my next plaid, I combined Lucky Clover & Peacock Fethers Distress Oxide Ink. This time I created by Plaid by rotating my paper four ways and stamping on each edge. Then I positioned the center piece of the plaid and stamped two more times.
Here are both Plaid pieces for a combined view. I purposefully left my ink a bit blotchy because I thought it made it feel more like *flannel* plaid.
I used my second plaid for a fun birthday card design (because plaids are perfect for any occasion). I love that this could be masculine or feminine with these hues.
In addition to making plaid, you can also just go with the stripes. For this card, I stamped the Double Stripe from Plaid Plus! in Vermilion and the Stars in Indigo.
Then I used the stripes with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch.
The sentiment is from another Kitchen Sink Stamp Set - 3 Step Baseball. I finished with a few silver star embellishments.

I love the Heart & Sole Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink for running cards. This one is for someone who is getting ready to run her first marathon.
I stamped the show in three colors and used this week's Freshly Made Sketch.
We're still playing Tic-Tac-Toe at Jingle Belles ... choose any row, column or diagonal to inspire your design.
Normally I would go for a different threesome than last week, but when I found a red glittery Santa tag in my stash, I had to go for the left column again ... because when life hands you a trifecta, you better use it.
I used a sheet of red glitter cardstock as my base, and then added several strips of the new Eyelet Outlet new Fancy Long Bling to frame Santa ... ho ho ho and another holiday card is ready to go.
