Tonight I made a card for the Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge ... here is the Party-filled Inspiration Photo.
I was drawn to the happy colors and the polka dots ... and the fact that every party needs a Pina Colada.
I used my MISTI and the EBE Wonky Backdrops to create my strip of Polka Dots & to stamp the layers of my EBE Stay Golden Pineapple.
This card makes me happy ... perfect way to end the weekend.
Today is the first day of the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges at SplitCoastStampers. It's where the former Dirty Girls create & host a week's worth of challenges to inspire you. I am hosting my first challenge later this week.
I decided to combine Dini's Challenge (I can't share that with you ... you have to be a Fan Club Member to participate in the challenges) with today' SplitCoastStampers Inspiration Challenge ... to be inspired by painted rocks. This is the rock I chose to inspire me.
I loved the colors & the fun striped design (with a few polka dots for good measure).
I created my background with designer paper scraps from my stash, and then I used my MISTI to add the sentiments. I combined green and blue inks (stamping multiple times) until I got the colors I wanted. The stamp set is Big on Birthdays from Stampin' Up.
I finished with a cute cupcake sticker to finish this masculine, mail-able birthday card design.
I'm going with Anything Goes at Seize the Birthday.

It's hard to believe that 10 years ago today I shared my very first card on this blog ... and here it is. I think it still stands the test of time. I'd actually like to go revisit that cracked glass technique again.
It was a card I made for the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges at SplitCoastStampers ... which start TODAY. During these last 10 years at SplitCoastStampers, I've been blessed to host the Inspiration Challenge for over 5 years ... to be a Dirty Girl ... and I am even hosting my very own Dare to Get Dirty Challenge this year ... oh how far I've come.
I am forever grateful for the creativity, community & friendships that this blog has allowed me to develop ... so to celebrate 10 years of creative sharing, I have some prizes I want to share.

I had so much fun playing with the new Distress Oxide Inks & my MISTI this weekend. I tried lots of techniques ... some worked better than others. Tonight's card is actually made with one of the reject panels (I tried dropping alcohol reinkers onto an Oxide covered piece of watercolor paper hoping for more of a reaction ... but I just got wonky polka dots ... the fun is in the playing).
But I never throw away the rejects because like tonight ... they usually find a home. I thought the fun pink and purple combination was perfect for a girly baby card.
I used the July Sketch for You to Try with one of my all time favorite baby stamps from Cute as a Button. I used another Gel Press Print I made with my MISTI for the diagonal element.
I finished with some Eyelet Outlet Enamel Hearts.

Sneaking in a late-night last-minute card for the PaperTrey Ink July Blog Hop inspired by this lovely invitation photo.
I needed a wedding card for my stash, so I decided to feature my new Inspired: Love Mini Stamp Set.
I used Broken China Oxide Ink on watercolor paper with my MISTI. For texture, I added several wraps of cotton cord, and to bring in the postal element of the photo, I finished with a stamp from the 2011 set Text-Style Postmarks, which I will confess I had never even opened until tonight

Today I'm going to share with you cards I made using a stamping and masking technique using Eyelet Outlet Washi Tape, my Gel Press Plate and My MISTI.
At Jingle Belles this week we're making cards featuring none other than the main man of Christmas ... Jolly St. Nick ... aka SANTA CLAUS.
I couldn't resist breaking out my new Here Comes Santa Claus Collection from Doodlebug (I love being able to pick-up entire collections from Crafty Steals).
I started by cutting 4" X 4" Santa Squares from 12" paper and then mounted it on a 5" x 5" card base with a few stickers from the collection. I finished with an Eyelet Outlet Enamel Dot on the top of his hat, which adds a tiny bit of dimension, but keeps it mailable.
It came together so quickly, I made a second one. Remember, you can mail 5" square cards in 5" x 7" envelopes with no additional postage.
