This week's Unity Stamp Company Challenge is all about shades of browns & feathers.
It was the perfect opportunity to finally ink-up my Strange Bird ... I wanted this stamp set for a long time, and then when I finally got it, it has taken me months to ink it up (story of my stamp stash sometimes). I do adore this goofy bird.
I started my card with a scrap of rejected watercolor paper from my stash that I had sprayed with several shades of brown ink and some metallic gold splatters. I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color my bird in neutral shades of brown.
Layout is this week's Sketch Saturday.

Well, this reject from another project turned out perfectly here. That water color paper and the image were made for each other!
