Inspired by Birthday

I was thrilled to be one of the Stand Out Cards at last week's Inspired by All the Little Things Challenge.  I love this week's Inspiration Photo too.

I was drawn to the contrast of the black pattern and bright pink ... all backed by the cool ivory.  I also wanted to incorporate some bold flowers like that bouquet of Peonies on the table.

I die cut Taylored Expressions Bold Lace from Bright Fuchsia and Black Cardstock and offset them slightly before attaching to my ivory card base.  I wanted to pull in the design element of the circular reflective silver mirror in the background, so I added an Eyelet Outlet silver pearl swirl over the top.

Those gorgeous blooms are also from Eyelet Outlet (all three sizes come in the package) topped with a round black adhesive jewel.  Birthday sentiment is from Paper Artsy (love that typewriter font)
