For this card, I combined the Sketch & Color Challenge at My Favorite things. I decided to turn the blue & yellow into a bouquet ... and when combined with grey & black, it seemed like a sympathy card color combination to me.
Sentiment is from Essential Sentiments (I wish every manufacturer had a set like that) with stitched flowers & pierced circle die-namics.
For this card, I combined the sketch from the current Fusion Card Challenge with the Inspiration Photo from Inspired by All the Little Things (okay I snuck a tiny bit of inspiration from Fusion with my pink glitter heart).
I started with wood grain cardstock that I cut into planks like in the Inspiration Photo. I also pulled in another wood element by die cutting my coffee cup sleeve from a piece of *wood* paper.
I did my own fusion combining Die Cuts and Stamps from Taylored Expressions (Koffee Time & Joe to Go) with a sentiment from Essentials by Ellen Of Frappe!

I want to make some St. Patrick's Day cards this week, so I can get them in the mail. The focal image of this card is from Authentique Emerald Six cut with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Oval Die. I used a larger die from the same set to cut the metallic gold mat.
The layout is this week's CAS(e) this Sketch with golden sequins. The sentiment is a Tim Holtz Small Talk Sticker.
I also incorporated Ombre Stamping on the background with Hero Arts new Wallpaper Bold Prints Backgrounder for the Just Add ... Ombre Challenge.
When I saw that redbugdriver was today's Featured Stamper at SplitcoastStampers, I knew I had to make a card inspired by one of her Inspiration Challenge designs. She's always one of the faithful for that Saturday Challenge, and I always appreciated that so much.
I chose this awesome stache design to inspire me.
I pulled out my Hipster Animals and added an almost equally rockin' mustache to my dog. Sentiment is from the new Irreverent Birthday Messages (because doesn't a dog wearing a fedora & glasses scream *irreverent*).
I kept him CAS for the CAS Challenge at A Blog Named Hero.
I also stamped the sentiment and all of his accessories in RED for the February A to Z Scrapbooking Challenge.
The February 2017 PaperTrey Ink Blog Hop is inspired by this gorgeous photograph.
I drilled in on the colors ... a flannely grey background with deep grape purple, bright pink and a pop of green from the figs and the plate.
I die cut my Big Hugs Die Cuts from all three colors and then added some green pearls for a pop of color.
We're still creating with clear elements at Jingle Belles.
I love the look and texture of embossed acetate. With this all-over snowflake pattern, it almost made the acetate seem sparkly, so I made it sparkly by mounting it on a teal glitter card base.
Another trick with the all-over snowflakes is that it makes it very each to hide tiny glue dots in the centers of the snowflakes to adhere the two layers together.

The current Impression Obsession Challenge theme is Somebunny Loves You ... so I had to break out my bunny die set.
The colors from CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge are so springy and fun. I added tiny black gems for the eyes and white epoxy dots for the bunny tails.
And since I had no Easter sentiments, I chose a sentiment from Words For Art that reflected the happiness of hopping little spring bunnies.
I wanted to play along with AltENew's February Inspiration Challenge. Unfortunately, I have no AlteNew Floral Stamps (something I clearly need to remedy), so I created some abstract flowers using Dodecagram & my MISTI on watercolor paper.
The inky smudges were originally a mistake (note to self, clean extra ink off the MISTI cover before stamping again), so I turned them into a design element by adding more ink to the MISTI cover and strategically placing more smudges to create a background for my abstract blooms ... a happy accident.
To bring in the textural element of the shutter in the background, I scored lines after stamping. Sentiment is from AltENew Label Love. Bling is from Eyelet Outlet.

This week's Unity Stamp Company Challenge is all about shades of browns & feathers.
It was the perfect opportunity to finally ink-up my Strange Bird ... I wanted this stamp set for a long time, and then when I finally got it, it has taken me months to ink it up (story of my stamp stash sometimes). I do adore this goofy bird.
I started my card with a scrap of rejected watercolor paper from my stash that I had sprayed with several shades of brown ink and some metallic gold splatters. I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color my bird in neutral shades of brown.
