SUPER Valentines

Super-Hero Valentines are fun for little guys (and probably some bigger guys too) ... and Eyelet Outlet's Super Hero Saying Brads make them even more fun.

I started with a Captain America sticker and then added my Bang! Pow! & Boom! which lends a fun comic book feel.  

 

 

I printed my sentiment and put the card together using this week's CAS(E) this Sketch.

 

 

 

Spider-Man works great too with some extra Pow! and Boom!.

 

 

Eyelets add just the right amount of dimension while still keeping your cards mailable.

 

 

 

 

 

Golden Christmas

At Shopping Our Stash, they're celebrating GOLD.  I couldn't resist breaking out these Go Glam note cards I picked-up at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago ... they are GOLD indeed.

I found a glittery tag in my Christmas stash and finished with a few golden gems using a sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday.

I'm also joining Anything Goes at Simon Says Stamp.

Plaid Deer Hunter

I thought the Plaid Cupcake Inspiration Photo was perfect for a Masculine Birthday Card.

I chose some plaid-like papers in more of a rusty orange than red, but I think they still capture the feel of the cupcakes.

Sentiment is Essentials by Ellen Totally Awesome paired with the EBE Leaping Deer Die Cut.  Layout is this week's Match the Sketch.

Perfect Catch

This weekend I'm working on lots of custom valentines ... this one for a fisherman.

I used this week's Freshly Made Sketch together with some 3-D stickers and a computer generated sentiment.

Swinging Day

This week's SplitcoastStampers Inspiration Challenge has us creating cards inspired by the Chicago T-Shirt Company Threadless.  I chose this Spiderman T-shirt to Inspire my design.

I picked-up some fun Marvel Comics stickers to make some masculine Valentine's Day Cards.

I started with Embossed spider webs using this week's CAS Colours & Sketches layout (although I fear I ventured a bit to far from CAS to link-up ... oh well, it happens).  Stamped sentiment is from A Muse ... Valentine Sentiment was printed.

Holly Jolly Stickers

We're still creating with stickers this week at Jingle Belles.  Hobby Lobby had all of there store brand products 50% off last week, so I picked-up a sheet of Holly Jolly Stickers in one of my favorite holiday color combinations.

I found three pieces of coordinating cardstock and the cards came together so quickly.  I adore that little polar bear

And how about this adorable penguin.  All I did was add some 3-D embossing to the card base.

 

And the final one features jolly old saint nick.

{Like a Love Song Baby}

To me, nothing say Valentine's Day quite like Swirl Bling ... because everyone deserves some special bling on a special day.

 

I started with a simple layout from Freshly Made Sketches and added an awesome Love Song Sentiment from Impression Obsession for their Love is in the Air Challenge.

 

... and then the swirl blinging began with oh-so-elegant Gold Pearls.

 

 

One thing I really love about Eyelet Outlet Swirl Bling is that they come attached to clear acetate, so you can lay the bling over your project to see what they will look like before you start adhering them.  That allows me to trim and reposition if necessary to get just the look I want.

 

And of course, I couldn't resist finishing with two pieces of Heart Jewel Bling that practically SCREAM Valentine's Day.

Pineapple of My Eye

I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year.  I love how all of the crafty companies are releasing exciting new products.   So many of my crafty friends are at the CHA Creativation Event in Phoenix getting to see it all first hand ... and I won't lie, I'm jealous.  Jealous of the selfies ... them creating new product samples & attending classes.  Projects that I have made using manufacturer products have been on display at the annual craft show, but I have never quite figured out how to get myself there ... some day I will.  

So instead, I did a little shopping for crafty supplies.  Hobby Lobby had all of their store brand products 50% off, so I stocked-up on supplies including some fun new papers.  When I saw the current Pin-Sights Challenge photo, I knew it was the perfect time to break out some of them.

I drilled in on the gorgeous grey combined gold and a pop of aquamarine blue ... as well as a happy, uplifting sentiment.

I can't quite figure out how to get my lighting positioned correctly to capture the metallic papers ... these are super-shiny.  I used Delicata Golden Glitz Ink on my pineapple and the background of my flower.  The rest is stamped in Aquamarine.

Friends Don't Let Friends

I'm thrilled to be Guest Designing at the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers.  This week's theme is ... Y is for Y Did I Buy That?

As I hunted through my stash, there were quite a few things I shook my head at, but the biggest WHY was this large skull & crossbones punch.  It weighs a ton, takes up space, and seriously ... what do you make with it? (If you'd like one, you can find it here).

I decided a snarky birthday card was in order.  I punched the skulls from Pink Glitter paper for a bit of deathly pizzazz.

I'm sure one of my girlfriends will get a kick out of it.  Sentiment is from My Favorite Things Piece of Cake.
