It's one of my favorite creative times of the year ... the 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist. The first tag involves a color challenge.
I'm not quite sure what possessed me to try the Bargello Technique (which requires quite a bit of precision) after a really long exhausting work week, but I managed to pull it off, so I could join in with the gals at Shopping Our Stash (here's a link to the photo technique for how I do Bargello ... which I learned years and years ago from the Carol Duvall Show). I cut all my paper scraps into 1/2" strips, so I can line them as I attach each strip. I used Ken Oliver's Stick-It Sheets which make it much easier.
I rotated my pattern vertically for my tag because I thought it resembled a Christmas Tree. Don't those colors make a fun retro design (and such a great way to use those paper scraps).
I did a little tag-on-tag design with my cute little reindeer and finished with a Christmas Phrase die cut sentiment from STAMPlorations.
Go you! This is a lot of fun!
