A cardinal is often thought to be representative of a loved one who has passed.
When you see one, it means your loved one is visiting you. They often show-up when you most need them or miss them. I feel the presence of my dear mother-in-law every time I see one of the bright red birds in the tree outside our living room window.
Given this symbolism, the
Cardinal Brads are the perfect embellishment for sympathy cards.
My
Sympathy Die was cut from both navy & white cardstock and attached to create a slight shadow (I am in love with this technique ... such an easy way to create a touch of elegance).
Next I perched a few cardinals on the die cut ... such a quick & easy way to really add some pop to a simple card design.
I finished with a few
enamel dots to highlight the white shadow on the die cut.
this is beautiful!!
