Midnight CLEAR

We're still using CLEAR elements at Jingle Belles this week.  I used the same Hambly overlay as last week, but this time as an off-set tag.

The layout is this week's Retro Sketch and the focal image is a sticker from Papaya! Art.  The base tag is Gelli Printed paper from my art camp adventures at Lauren's house.

Vellum Floral Comfort

I'm still having fun with Winnie & Walter's Share the Love Week with Essentials by Ellen.  Today's theme is Transparent.

I die cut Essentials by Ellen Bold Blossoms from Vellum paper and then sponged-on ink to add color.

Keeping it simple, I used Winnie & Walter's The Big, The Bold & Comfort (I adore that typewriter font) sentiment on Ivory Cardstock using this week's CAS(e) This Sketch.

You Got This

I'm on to day three of the Winnie & Walter Share the Love Challenge ... the theme is Background Building.

I started with Winnie & Walter Mini Scenery: Do You See What I See? and then added lots of stamps from Essentials by Ellen Bokeh Dots, one of my favorite Background Building sets.

I used this week's Freshly Made Sketch and added a sentiment & image from Essentials by Ellen Oh Frappe.

I'm also joining the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

Here Comes the Bride

 I love making wedding cakes ... out of paper, flowers & gems.

 

 

I start by cutting three equal strips of textured paper (for this card, they are 2" tall).  I then round the corners on one side and attach the layers of my cake. 

 

Next comes the fun part ... decorating.

 

 

I started by layering three paper flowers (don't you love that the Eyelet Outlet flower sets include multiple coordinating sizes) and adding an adhesive flower jewel to the center.  I like to use 3-D glue dots for a bit more dimension.

 

Next I performed what I call *swirl surgery*.  I start cutting apart the gorgeous adhesive swirl bling flourishes to decorate my cake.

 

 

I finished with another two-layer flower and lots of purple flower jewels.

 

These paper cakes make such elegant wedding cards and you can customize to match the colors of the wedding.

Sending Prayers

It's day two of the Winnie & Walter with Essentials by Ellen Share the Love Challenge ... and the theme is Sentimental.

I picked out a sentiment from Winnie & Walter's the Big, The Bold & Comfort using a layout from the As You See It Challenge.

I picked out some Red, White & Blue Designer papers from my stash and added EBE Bold Blossom Die Cuts as an accent.

Monster Birthday

Boy Cards ... I always seem to need more boy cards ... thank goodness for Monsters.

This card uses Taylored Expressions Party Monsters for this week's Share Joy Challenge.

I'm also joining AAA Cards Googley Eye Challenge.  To make my Googley Eyes, I stamped my monster a second time on white cardstock, detail cut his eyes, and attached them using 3-D Glue Dots.

Floral Comfort

I was thrilled to see that Winnie & Walter are pairing with Essentials by Ellen at their Share the Love Weekly Challenge.  

The theme for day 1 is Flowers.

I die cut Essentials by Ellen Mondo Magnolia from two papers and added an awesome Winnie & Walter Sentiment from The Big, The Bold and Comfort (my only Winnie & Walter set, but it's a winner for sure ... so many great words).

Layout is from this week's Crazy 4 Challenges.

Pop Art Floral Pineapple

I just added a few Concord & 9th stamp sets and dies to my collection, and I finally took the time to create with some of them.   My inspiration comes from this week's Tasty Tropics Curtain Call Challenge.

The first set I got is called Pop Art Pineapple, so I knew I wanted to stamp it in some fun Pop Art colors.

Rather than stamp one of the pineapple stamps, I stamped a bunch of the tiny flower from the set and then die cut my pineapple from the floral design.  I added a single die cut flowers to accent the design, just like in the Inspiration Photo.

I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch with a Thanks sentiment from Essentials by Ellen's Fancy Thanks. 

Golden Prize Stag

What do you see when you look at the inspiration photo from the Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge?

The first thing I saw were the golden metallic unicorns on the pink napkins ... next came the awesome color combination ... and then of course, waffles.

I managed to incorporate two of the three (why oh why do I not have any waffle stamps).  I substituted the Golden Prize Stag for the golden unicorn ... and added some geometric embossed texture like the lines on the party hats ... and some sequins for the confetti.  Sentiment is Essentials by Ellen Totally Awesome.
