When I saw the colors at the MFT Color Challenge, I immediately thought of Christmas ... so I challenged myself to create something that wasn't Christmas.
I started with the layout from the As You See It Challenge and went looking for something I could use as my focal image.
I found some Tim Coffey 3-D Cardinal Stickers from K & Company in my stash and built my card around the bird.
I decided to go with a Thinking of You theme for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge using a sentiment from You've Got Mail.
My husband decided it would be appropriate for our St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan friends as we look to the next baseball season.
Your cardinal bird looks as though he could fly right off the page! Sports results can certainly affect some people, so a card like this could be very handy! The colours are so Christmas-like, I like the surprise when you read the sentiment and it's not. Thanks for sharing with us at As You See It this week.

Cool Stef! I too took those colors and went non-holiday with them. Not so easy to do!

Love your red/green colour scheme with no Christmas - great challenge to set for yourself! This is a beautiful, clean take on the sketch - thanks so much for playing along with the As You See It Challenge this week!

Hi - apologies for my late visit to your blog for the challenge - last week got completely away from me! Your card is beautiful, so pretty and delicate. Cardinals are one of my favourite birds.
Thanks for playing along with us at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
Hugs,
Caryn xxx
