I wanted to make a card for the N is for Naughty Christmas challenge at The Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers.
Essentials by Ellen's 'Tis the Season had the perfect stamps.
I colored the hats with Spectrum Noir Dark Red (DR6) and added enamel dots for the hat pom poms using this week's CAS(e) this Sketch.

This week's Inspiration Challenge at SplitcoastStampers is to go back through your Forgotten *Favorites* Gallery and find a card to inspire you.
Before the days of blogs (hard to imagine I know), SplitcoastStampers and magazines were my primary sources of creative inspiration. It was interesting to go back through my gallery and try to remember why I had saved some of the cards ... and others were still very timely after all of these years. I chose this card by UKJem as my inspiration ... I loved how she created the tiny layered tiles to feature a small flower stamp.
I started by stamping and cutting apart 3 Flower window from Stampotique by Maryse Carrier (one of the first stampers I saw on the Carol Duval show years ago). Next I found my vintage crimper and started creating my tiles (I'm doing a lot of hand-cutting lately since my paper cutter is on the fritz, and I'm waiting for repair parts to arrive).
I combined three shades of purple with light blue and added some enamel dots to decorate my tiles. The sentiment is vintage (aka discontinued) Hero Arts.
The Challenge at the Stampotique Blog is to make a Quick & Easy Christmas Card.
I inked Stampotique Christmas Mosaic with Hero Arts Ombre Ruby to Royal Red Ink. I also stamped it in Lime to Forever Green Ombre Ink and paper pieced a few of the pieces. Super Quick & Easy.
I'm also joining anything goes with my Retro Rubber ... Stampotique never goes out of style.

It's been a while since I tried a color challenge ... I thought the colors from this week's Color Throwdown would be perfect for some Yeti fun.
I used Kelly Purkey's Yeti, which I stamped in blue and paper pieced with some ivory.

For me, the leftovers are almost better than the main holiday meal ... so that is why we're still celebrating Holiday Leftovers at Jingle Belles.
My work team all dressed as dominoes for Halloween, which meant I spent a few hours die cutting circles from white adhesive felt. I had saved the bigger scraps of felt and they have been sitting on my studio table since October. This prompt was the perfect push to use the adhesive felt to die cut a collection of snowflakes ... two of which are featured on this card.
I also wanted to use-up some of my older holiday papers ... these are from the Wonderland Collection by Studio Calico. I also used a stray button and a ribbon scrap for this week's Retro Card Sketch.
I felt so inspired by the leftover theme that I made a second card from the *leftovers* of the first card.
I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts Home Baked by Lia Griffith for my first card, but it got lost in all of the patterns. It looks much better here with the more solid-like background. I also used another leftover Memory Box tall taper candle die cut that was lurking in my stash.

CASology is celebrating Owls this week ... I have lots of them, so it was difficult to narrow down to just one (and they have a super-prize that I really would love to have from Concord & 9th).
I went with the googlie-eyed Christmas Owls because ... well googlie eyes.

This week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge is a unique one ... open for all sorts of clever interpretation.
Since we're in Iowa ... I went with Corn Stalks Die-namics (which has apparently been discontinued ... bummer).
I added a torn paper corn field, a few cardinals and a sentiment from The Whole Herd.
The next Fusion Card Challenge is asking you to be inspired by this gorgeous Blue Christmas.
My original intent was to create a card featuring a blue glitter Christmas Tree ... then after I die cut the tree, I liked the silhouette better than the die cut itself. I mounted the silhouette using foam tape on a silver glitter card base and then started decorating it with blue gems.
I added silver snowflake stickers and a sticker sentiment to finish my design.

I had scraps and Impression Obsession die cut Christmas Icons left over from last night's card, so I decided to use them to create another quick CAS design (okay maybe not so quick when I lost one of the snowman's eyes and had to try to get that tiny piece of paper back into the socket). It's a Season's Greetings theme at the IO Blog this month.
I used the Nacho Average Sketch together with the No Stamping Challenge at Shopping Our Stash.
As you've probably guessed, I love those typed sticker sentiments ... they help a card come together so quickly.
