The September Mix-It-Up Challenge company at Essentials by Ellen is one of my favorite companies, Impression Obsession.
I will confess, at least once a day I crack myself up ... I often think about sharing what has made me laugh, but I seldom do, because I realize my sense of humor is a little bit wonky compared to other's (thankfully I have a husband, sister and a few friends who share my sense of humor most of the time, so they will usually be amused if they are in the vicinity when I'm having one of those particular moments of levity).
I had one of those moments when I was making this card ... hopefully you'll find it as amusing as I did (I like to think that Julie Ebersole would appreciate her dapper stag).
I started by wanting to combine my Essentials by Ellen Prize Stag with the Impression Obsession Christmas Word Background. I die cut the stag from Purple Velvet paper for awesome texture and then inked my background using Hero Arts Light to Dark Purple & Pink to Red Ombre Ink Pads.
My original intent was to turn my stag into Rudolph with a red nose ... but when I saw this sentiment from Essentials by Ellen 'Tis the Season, I knew he needed a red Mustache from Impression Obsession Retro Masculine die cuts instead. Then of course to go with that 'stache, he needed a dapper chapeau from the same set placed jauntily on his head.
Tee-hee! I guess I have the same wonky sense of humor. I love it!
