What do you do when you've die cut your Abstract Cover-Up from of the 4 Colors from the MFT Color Challenge ... well you use the leftovers to make a second card, of course.
I cut out another black frame and assembled the remaining pieces into another kaleidoscope design.
This time I die cut my Brushstroke Birthday Greeting in white for a bit more contrast and finished with a white fabric butterfly.
I love abstract art ... I love kaleidoscopes ... I love puzzles ... I love stained glass .... and since the My Favorite Things Die-Namics Abstract Cover-up reminded me of all of those things I love, I had to add it to my collection. And, it's the perfect featured element for the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.
I die cut the Cover-Up in the four colors of the current MFT Color Challenge, as well as Black for my frame. After attaching my frame to a white cardstock base, I began putting the puzzle together (for me, sort of a zen-like experience).
Next, I cut a circular frame from black cardstock positioning it over my stained-glass like pattern and attaching it with form tape for dimension.
I finished with MFT Brushstroke Birthday Greetings cut from pink cardstock.

The current Challenge Theme at the Impression Obsession Blog is Happy Haunting. What do you do when you don't really have any stamps that fit the theme? You get creative of course.
I decided I could use my Retro Masculine Die Cuts to create a fun costume. I went searching online for a ghost template that I could *disguise* for the holidays ... and I found this fun Pumpkin Carving Pattern that I could size for a 5 1/2" card.
I disguised him up with orange die cuts (you'd never know he was a ghost would you) and then added a sentiment from a vintage IO set by Tami Potter Life & Flowers (CL250).
The background is a new Gemstone embossing folder from We R Memory Keepers ... I love the 3-D spooky texture. With it, I'm joining linking-up at the Sweet Stampin' Challenge where the theme is Embossing.
For the Shopping our Stash prompt at Jingle Belles this week, I went searching for my oldest holiday stamp ... but instead got sidetracked by some gorgeous Darkroom Door Noel Stamps that are at least 2 years old (so old I couldn't find a link to buy them) and had never even been cut apart or inked.
I inked them in red and combined them with a scrap of vintage designer paper. The background is a new holiday paper from Simple Stories Claus & Co.
It's also Anything Goes at the Christmas Card Challenge.
When I saw this week's Fusion Card Challenge inspiration, I went searching for a peacock in my collection ... only to discover, there are none.
So instead I tried to capture the colors and feel of the design ... and featured a different bird from Unity Stamps Sympathy & Sadness.
Papers are Authentique Classique: Elegant. I used a yellow Kirarina Wink of Stella pen to pull a bit of that color into the design.

I decided to make one more geometric pattern for Virginia's View Challenge.
I started with a piece of White Cardstock with Color Burst using a wonky circle stencil.
I pulled out my Trendy Triangle Stamp set from My Favorite Things and started stamping. I probably should have had a plan and used a ruler, but since my circles were wonky, I decided to stick with wonky triangles too.
I started with the large green triangles and then added three different smaller triangles in blue. I finished with a MFT Many Thanks Die Cut.
I'm also throwing my hat in again at the MFT Card Design Superstar.
Having all of these great Color Burst Water Colored papers from art camp at Lauren's makes it so easy to create. I stamped this inky background with my new MFT Writing Tablet Background on top of one of the water colored piece and die cut with Spellbinders Labels 1 to make this frame.
Sentiments are from MFT Get Well Wishes. I attached my frame with foam tape for dimension and finished with some sequins using the current MFT Sketch Challenge.

When I saw The Corrosive Challenge Blog was featuring Mixed-Media this week, I knew it was time to pull out some more of my Color Burst creations from Art Camp.
For this one, I splattered Color Burst around a New York Skyline Mask. After it dried, I outlined the silhouette with an Orange Glitter Pen and then colored in the silhouette using new Kirarina Wink Glitter Markers.
After the coloring dried, I used a transparent text tape to fill-in the outline. I love that John Lennon are two of the words in the text, as well as typewriter, bicycle and *I like flying a paper-plane*. The black block words are from Darkroom Door Word Strips.

The layout is a sketch from The Challenge. I finished by inking a black frame around the image and adding a few sequins.
