The Simon Says Stamp Ombre Challenge was the perfect opportunity to ink-up my new Hero Arts Snowy Scene with Hero Arts Ombre Pool to Navy Ink.
I added a sentiment from Hero Arts Christmas Crystals and a few layers of Cardstock for the Simon Says Stamp No Designer Paper Challenge.
I'm also joining S is for Silent at the ABC Christmas Challenge (oops, apparently *silent* means no sentiment, so I'm out for this one).
For my win at The Challenge, I have the honor of Guest Designing with the crew this week.
When I saw the inspiration photo I think I may have actually let out a tiny little squeal ... you know I love Monsters.
So I created a Monster Birthday card with monster sticker friends, banners, and fun bright colors.

I love shoes ... and I love making cards that feature shoes. The All-Star High Top from My Favorite Things is so fun to die cut and assemble ... there are endless color and pattern possibilities.
I used a textured rust cardstock together with golden accents for a masculine design and a sentiment from Keep on Rockin' together with the current MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.
I'm also joining Seize the Birthday where the theme is Anything Goes (I thought the topping was Die Cuts, but when I read it again, I think the intent was to be Border Die Cuts).
This week at Jingle Belles we're celebrating The Hanukkah Song, which means creating a card for your friends or family who don't necessarily celebrate Christmas.
This could take the form of one of the other winter holidays (Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, New Year or Winter Solstice to name a few); or you could go totally non-denominational with a general winter-themed design.
I decided to go with a snowflake-themed design because I find them so peaceful. I've had this glimmer sprayed die-cut embossed snowflake on my studio table for months that was left over from a failed project ... it finally found a home. This angle shows a bit of the glimmer.
I used this week's Cardabilities sketch which combined the snowflake with a black doily and some Stampin' Up felt snowflakes.
I used a blue shimmery cardstock for the border & flourishes and finished with silver sequins.
CASology calls for Circles this week ... which is perfect for some Bokeh Dots fun.
I took my color inspiration from the Pin-Sights Challenge at Essentials by Ellen.
I stamped my circles using the layout from CAS(E) this Sketch.

Tonight I was looking through my collection of Lawn Fawn stamps to try to come-up with an idea for their current Lawnscaping Challenge to create a One Layer Card.
As I looked through the stamp sets, three of my most loved stamps stuck out (from Winter Owl, Gnome Sweet Gnome & Yeti Set Go), so I decided they would make a great trio ... you know, an Owl, a Gnome and a Yeti walk into a bar ...
Since my sister & I share a love of Owls, Gnomes and Yetis, I decided to add a sentiment for her from Chit Chat. My eyes were too tired tonight to attempt serious coloring, so instead I used my Spectrum Noir Markers for some spotlight coloring featuring the hues from this week's colourQ Challenge.
My creatures are also joining the Forest Friends Fun at The Card Concept.
I love the Inspiration Board for the current Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge ... the challenge was narrowing down the inspiration.
I combined the top right corner with the middle image on the second row (together with some golden sparkle from the star garland and silver from the shoes) to make my fun little (4 1/4" square) card.
Background paper is from Pebbles Lakeside Collection together with the You Rock die cuts from Essentials by Ellen.
I found this gorgeous piece of floral paper on our shopping adventures in Chicago. Usually I tend to hoard beautiful things like this, but I decided it would be perfect to make a wedding card.
I used stamps from Stamplorations Ever After together with the September Sketch Challenge. The theme for the challenge was music ... and while there's no music on my card, I did hum the Wedding March while I created it.
I don't know about you, but my need for Masculine Birthday Cards almost always exceeds the number I have in my stash ... so I used this week's Freshly Made Sketch to make another one.
I flipped the sketch on its side to work with my vertical sentiment from Elizabeth Craft Designs Farm Greetings. At Can You Case It? the challenge is to use three shades of blue, so I stamped my image in Navy and then stamped it twice more in a brighter blue and teal, so I could use foam tape to paper-piece my sentiment.
These aren't shades of blue I would normally combine, but I like how they worked together.
