As a reward for being voted the Queen of Snark for the R is for Rude Challenge at the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers, I get to be the guest designer for this week's Challenge ... U is for Ugly.
I decided to go back into my card making archives to some of my very first creations for inspiration ... because seriously, some of those first card were pretty darn ugly (thankfully the joy was in the process). I chose this card from December 2006 to inspire my *ugly* design ... green, flowers & polka dots for a winter card (what was I thinking) ... obviously I hadn't quite developed a sense of precision yet either.
I went searching at the very bottom of my designer paper scrap box and pulled out several pieces of long-neglected designer papers. I also found some monster stickers that I've had forever that also border on the *ugly* side.
I used similar rectangle patterned designs from my inspiration card to ground my monsters and added lots of sequins (since monsters talk in sequin don't you know) I and finished with some Tim Holtz Sticker sentiments that take a fun twist on the *ugly* theme.
Dig out your *uglies* from your stash and come join me.
Fantastic ugly yet awesome card!!
Thanks again for being our Queen and Guest Designer for this challenge!! You are adored and worshipped by the sisterhood :)

I love them both, I think your winter card is a very non-traditional coloured card and your other one might have ugly paper but you made it into a fab. monsta card. thanks for joining us as a GDT for the challenge.

We really know how to reward our participants, don't we? :D I will agree that your paper is less than gorgeous, and yet you turned it into a sweet and uplifting card! So glad you returned as our Queen this challenge!
